Can't fool a bloodhound! Dogs' sense of smell is 1,000 times stronger than ours, and they can differentiate one smell out of many, even as long as an hour after the person has left the scene. Good boy, Shaker!

I had to read that story after seeing the headline, wondering how the scent of a dog could catch a criminal. Was the dog wet? Had it rolled in a dead skunk? Oh, you mean "sense of smell". Disappointed a bit, but still a cool story. Awesome dog. Way more awesome than the human.

I too wanted to read this because of the headline. I figured the dog would be the criminal. Guess they meant the bloodhound's tracking ability lead to the arrest. Turned out to be a great story, once I got over the headline.
