Haunted awright, from the top down, and not by ghosts; but by the latest quack politicians the state's upstanding "Christian" citizens send to Washington, down to the scam artists and street walkers that "haunt" Louisa and Ft Gay, communities that typify the entire region. For example, Look at Mr Rand Paul. If that character is not one seriously "haunted" hero, such has never existed.

A doctor here in Louisa does investigations with a team if you need something looked into. Very professional. I'll see if he would mind me passing on his contact info and get back to you.:)
I've got lots to tell about, so many things. I know I could make some of the skeptics believers. You always have one or 2 no matter where you are. I think it's just people who are afraid to see it.
Since you seem serious, and interested in paranormal activity I have info for you! It's a little way off from Louisa, but well worth the trip I would think. Go to Auxier KY and walk the railroad tracks (the later at night the better), south to 'dickytown'(official name Bays Branch). Many things have happened in that 1 mile stretch. Among them but not limited too: Civil War battle of wireman shoals.(up closer to the area where bridge now crosses river to Highlands Hospital). Steam Engine hits slide and runs into river and kills crew (scalded to death). Murdered girl found buried on riverbank. Many stories about that stretch of railroad! Find an old timer in Auxier, they can tell you more. I walked it once (more ran than walked) in the late 60's or early 70's after dark, I never did it a second time! I wont go into details, since some smartass will get on here and make fun of anything said. I highly suggest you take the 1/2 hour or so drive and try it! I post out of TN, but I lived in dickytown most of my life. I'm not lying to you, or sending you on a wild goose chase. If you choose to do it, please post any results, then I may tell you a bit more of my story?

Go take that walk, take some friends (I would advise it), you then have witnesses if anything odd happens. I may have just been a scared kid way back then? I would like to see someone else's view. I will be glad to tell you the stories I know, and I know several.

Sorry I didn't see your post, Sarah. Yes Auxier , has a colorful past. From nocking spirits, to murder, the mines across the river have/had a lot of stories. However the railroad track, from Maryluck hollow to Dickytown is somewhat outstanding. Murder on the riverbank, battle of wireman sholes, steam engine running into the river, scalding several to death (flatcar loaded with tombstones), the guy who met Satan on the tracks, and many others. Talk to some of the old timers. they likely can tell you many stories.

Folks I will tell ya a very haunted place and that is Irish creek in webbville. I grew up there and over the years of living there I always saw one thing and that was a young girl who died there in the 1800's from a fire. Her body is burried on the land where I lived. Let me tell ya it was very chilling to here this young girl scream threw the woods late at night!!!

Thank you for telling me about this. A lot of the older people have died off,the man that I always talked to before he died lived here in Auxier all his life. He told me about the pool hall being here and the man being hung behind where the school house is. All of these old stories have always interested me. Is there any news stories on the murders or the wreck or the flatbed? I've never heard these stories you're speaking of. At night you can sometimes hear screams coming from the river banks and chain's rattling. I just don't never feel like I'm alone when I'm out at night around here,it's like something's always watching you.

its true webbville is very haunted born and raised there. There are high rates of death and very strange things there. My brother at 18 years old shot and killed himself in the cabin we lived in for years on 828 just right off rt 1. It's also known as cooksie fork. I would love to have a team to investigate the cabin we lived in it is 150 years old! I always saw things I couldn't explain. Like doors opening by themselves, groups of ppl talking at one time late at night while I was in bed and screaming coming from the woods that was terrifying.!! Webbville is a very scary place some of the old timers say the devil himself walks the ridge at times!!!
