To Smiley- To you Josh might have been what you said a thieving junkie, but to me he was my little cousin. Junkie is the key word here. Drugs changes people, it takes a sweet kid and turns them into something I don't think they ever wanted to be. To you he was a junkie to me he was Joshy, a sweet kid who I loved with all my heart, I know he wasn't innocent, but when I seen Josh I seen him as a sweet little boy with a big smile on his face, Josh deserved a better life than he was dealt. He followed down a path they destroyed him. I love him and will miss him very much.

I agree. I remember Josh as a really sweet boy. I spent a lot of time over at his house growing up because his big sister and I were very close.

My mind goes back to being 13 again down at the park shooting basketball and roller blading with him. He would have been about 9 or so then. He'd fight with his sisters like all siblings do and then be so nice to me.

The spirited and sweet boy is the Josh I will miss most.

Ya know, it's attitudes from people like you, that help convince the world, that an addict cannot change. This kid was no dofferent than anyone else who gets tangled up in a mess bigger than he can handle. These drugs are worse than your imagination can conquer up. They suck the person in, and then eats them alive. Eventually, they wind up dead by overdose, like Josh. Josh had no intention of dying, he was simply trying to reach that evasive high. He was numbing a pain larger than his ability to cope with, and searching for peace in his life...where he has never been able to find it. He was a troubled young man, but, He was loved emensely by The Father God, just as HE loves you. Josh never really understood that God could help him recover from his addiction. He has family who loves him deeply, who will miss him terribly, who are in such deep grief that he has left them, and that his life is over far too soon. His big grin will be sorely missed.
For those who are struggling with their own drug-battle, there is help for you, IF you really want it. You can stop. You can change your life. You can have a life. You can have peace. There is HOPE, but, You have to WANT HELP!

My deepest and heart felt prayers go out to Lynn (Josh's mother) and his sisters Jessie and Amy!! Josh was an awesome person you just had to really know him to understand him, Heck we all did bad things when we was little but who are you to judge us for what we do in life! Josh will be missed!!! Ive known him since he was knee high, he lived just up the road from me he used to walk down almost every day just to set around and talk to me and my dad...I was very close to his sister Amy when we was younger... So many of us are going to miss Josh so dearly. Rest in peace sweetheart!

Oh and Just some words for all the people that are saying things about Josh and think they have a right to judge him. Josh could have gave his life to the lord right before he died no one knows that but him and the good Lord. So keep this in mind

Matthew 7:1

“Do not judge so that you will not be judged.“For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.“Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?“Or how can you say to your brother,‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye?“You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
“Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

Prayer and the Golden Rule

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.“For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.“Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone?“Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!
“In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Josh and I went to school together and we didnt talk that much but, when we did he was always polite and ready to listen. So to you all that are putting him down its ridiculous, because you cant judge a book by its cover.we all make mistakes and learn from them everyday.
