Just to make it simple for 90 percent of so called "drivers" in louisa, there is a reason for the "GREEN" arrow at the traffic islands, if you are turning left into town you do NOT have the right of way with a ( round) green light, you have to yield to north bound traffic, why do you think there is a green arrow even there? Maybe you should take your drivers test again, or at least get insurance., or just give it up.

Yielding means letting an automobile that has arrived at the opposite light go first. However, it's more a judgment call. If another vehicle has not made it to the light yet and YOU as a driver notice the lengths of distance as a time lapse enough for YOU to turn, by all means GREEN means go. It's a safety precaution Jackass. Women own the road as well as Truckers. If you don't like the drivers, hire yourself a Chauffeur. New York City has crazy traffic All The Time!!!

This may be the most ignorant thing I've ever read. You are completely and horrifically incorrect. Regardless of yield signs, if you are crossing an oncoming lane of traffic, unless you have a green arrow, you DO NOT have the right of way. On a solid green light, when turning left into town, you only go if there is room without making the oncoming traffic slow or yield.

People like you are the reason there are so many accidents and close calls at that light. Don't be an idiot.

Reread, you do not comprehend. I said if the light is green one must yield depending how far the oncoming traffic is. Take off the blindfold.Yes, I am well aware that the arrow means the driver can definitely go.

"Making room" is equivalent to comparing distance. I think you are the idiot. You do not comprehend.

The person turning RIGHT heading in to town ALWAYS has the right of way on a green light regardless of distance, judgement or "room" as you refer. There are a TON of close calls at that light due to driver ignorance. The city cops need to dictate that area and make a change.

Thats not the case coming down the hill...It has an yield sign meaning any thing coming from the left of you.. you yield to it.. most of the time your light will be red.. The traffic on the left will have a green arrow for a certain amout of time then if there is a accident guess who is to blame????

The yield sign was left from when there were 4 lanes of traffic passing through. For some reason, when it dropped to 3 and they put in the green arrow instead of the solid green light, the town lost their mind and forgot how to drive. The lane turning right going in to town (the red and white yield sign), on yield to oncoming traffic when they have a red light. It's almost the same as a 4 way stop sign intersection. The person turning right ALWAYS HAS THE RIGHT OF WAY.

My point is proven with the fact that you can't even spell NONSENSE. There's no "C" in SENSE. You couldn't pay attention in school, so why would you have paid attention when taking your permit test for your license?

The drivers turning left into town have a yield sign as well. A small white one that cautions drivers to yield on a solid green light. Don't know how that one got missed here.

Dear god. It makes perfect sense now. Every person I've ever seen making this traffic error is from WV. That alone makes every attempt you make at insulting or proving anyone wrong a complete farce within itself. You've probably just snorted a pill and fingered your sister and are too focused on NASCAR and coal mines to pay attention to the proper traffic instructions. But don't worry, it's only a matter of time til you're in an accident there because you were wrong. And then you're gonna be sued by the other driver because being from WV, you probably don't have the SENCE (see what I did there?), to insure your vehicle.

"Capitalize-d". You're an idiot. Let me go ahead and explain this so that you can understand. You're familiar with the red light intersection coming across the bridge, right? Say you're coming from Fort Gay to Louisa and there is a green light and you are turning LEFT to go to the Point Section, but there is a car in the opposite lane turning RIGHT to also go to the point section. Do you turn in front of this car? Or do they go first? Since you have the green light as well, do you think that means you have the right of way? This is absolutely NO DIFFERENT than the intersection we have previously discussed other than the addition of another lane on each side and a green arrow. Now, you're probably going to argue that the arrow indicates the right of way for turning into town (which it does), but ONLY WHEN THE OPPOSITE LANE HAS A RED LIGHT. That is when the YIELD sign comes into play on that side. You really need to do your research before you argue with someone who is infinitely smarter than you.

As for the capitalization of the word "god", I could give 2 turds about a simple capital "G". You, on the other hand... An English teacher would have a field day with your poo-poo grammar.

I win. You lose. Hopefully, others will take heed my good advice and read up on the lesson I just taught you about the fundamentals of driving.

Ok turning left at the lights at the Bird House! When you have a (green arrow) it is your right of way, to turn left, but that arrows turns red you have to stop until you have another (green arrow), Even if the other two lanes going South have a green light, You have NO right of way. The only time you have right of way is when you have a (GREEN ARROW), not a solid green on the other two lanes going South. If you go on a (RED ARROW) and the other two lanes have green lights you are in the wrong! THE ONLY Time you have the right of way is when your lane has a (GREEN ARROW).
