police doesnt want us to have access to that list, that is why it is no longer public, you'd have to go request that information from the court house.

If radio traffic is public record, why is it illegal to carry a frequency scanner in your car?

Why would you want to but it is a public record and so is the phone records of the police and the sheriffs Dept . All you have to do is make a formal request to see it,

That is kind of the issue here.

No one SHOULD have to make a formal request to see it.

What should happen is they should be publicly posted somewhere for everyone to be able to see them regardless of who it is, without fear of harassment by Louisa PD.

And if that is too much trouble just list the thing on their website that they have, it is good enough to list all the warrants in existence and that is a looong list.

My feeling is that, our police dept, doesn't want anyone to know what they do, I wish i could actually be proud of the ones that are out there to keep us safe, but reality says otherwise in our city, just look at how many people voted for Bellamy.

61.872 Right to inspection -- Limitation.
(1) All public records shall be open for inspection by any person, except as otherwise provided by KRS 61.870 to 61.884, and suitable facilities shall be made available by each public agency for the exercise of this right. No person shall remove original copies of public records from the offices of any public agency without the written permission of the official custodian of the record.
(2) Any person shall have the right to inspect public records. The official custodian may require written application, signed by the applicant and with his name printed legibly on the application, describing the records to be inspected. The application shall be hand delivered, mailed, or sent via facsimile to the public agency.
(3) A person may inspect the public records:
(a) During the regular office hours of the public agency; or
(b) By receiving copies of the public records from the public agency through the mail. The public agency shall mail copies of the public records to a person whose residence or principal place of business is outside the county in which the public records are located after he precisely describes the public records which are readily available within the public agency. If the person requesting the public records requests that copies of the records be mailed, the official custodian shall mail the copies upon receipt of all fees and the cost of mailing.
(4) If the person to whom the application is directed does not have custody or control of the public record requested, that person shall notify the applicant and shall furnish the name and location of the official custodian of the agency's public records.
(5) If the public record is in active use, in storage or not otherwise available, the official custodian shall immediately notify the applicant and shall designate a place, time, and date for inspection of the public records, not to exceed three (3) days from receipt of the application, unless a detailed explanation of the cause is given for further delay and the place, time, and earliest date on which the public record will be available for inspection.
(6) If the application places an unreasonable burden in producing public records or if the custodian has reason to believe that repeated requests are intended to disrupt other essential functions of the public agency, the official custodian may refuse to permit inspection of the public records or mail copies thereof. However, refusal under this section shall be sustained by clear and convincing evidence.

Well to start with the LPD has no control over 911 its run by the county. So you would have to go through the 911 board.

It really doesn't make much difference there, we live in a small town we don't need that much differentiation between departments of our city government.

Just compile all that information and put it on a website, I don't care if it is Police Dept, Sheriffs Dept, City Hall, just make it publicly available.

I just wanted everyone to know that I have never and will ever be a threat to Lori Morris or her children. I have never hurt them and the slander needs to be exposed. I have audio and video to prove that Lori A Morris has committed perjury in Judge Wells presents. I want my name cleared and need more time with my children. Her manipulation and coaching of children should be a criminal offence. I am a good dad to those children and i am a good man. I have no history of violence ever in thirty six years. The accusations were an attempt to keep me away so I wouldn't pop up while the other man was there. It's so obvious what she is doing. Please help any way anyone can. This is my life and my kids lives that is being attacked here. All want is my name cleared.
