If his wife "got him put out" Kudos to her! They did not fire him on he said-she said, they had other reasons to fire him. I think this was just the icing on the cake. This is the way I see it, his fire buddies will have his back because the majority of them have or had their own little things going on and monkey see-monkey do. I am just glad he was knocked off his high horse. I bet another man wont come home and catch Mike Brubaker in bed with his wife again. For the God's sake let's hope he's learned his lesson.

yea but rumor is a fireman went to city council to say lynn was at fault in the fireing of him
LOL How can Lynn be faulted when the Chief was the one caught in bed with another man's wife? I'm cheering for Lynn right now. Wanna play the blame game? Blame Mike Brubaker and The Other Married Woman! And anyone who encouraged it can take a percentage of that blame as well.

The other woman was Paige Worley. Best friends with Bill Geames (firefighter) wife, that one I know for a fact. Thats the one where her husband busted in on him and her. Then I heard there was another married woman at the 911 dispatch center. Who knows what the truth really is but if only 50% of the rumors are true than it makes me feel really bad for all they families hurt.

If you find your wife in bed with another man then it's time for a DNA test to see if you have any kids. There could be a reason why none of your kids look like you.

There may be millions of people out there that would sleep with your spouse if given the chance but the only person that ever promised to be faithfull to you was your spouse ( man or woman ).

From my understanding ,this new chief has very little experience as supervisor..and now chief? Really hope no fires in this town..not only concerned for citizens of loudon , but all the brave men that fight these fires with that kind of leader ..

If fired chief chooses lawsuit, it will cost the citizens of Loudon greatly. Loudon will have to pay for such morality. Win or lose, cost of defending the suit would be high. I wonder if it might not be a better policy to let people have a private life outside the job as long as no laws are broken. It really is quite the slippery slope. What's next? Drinking, legal gambling, cursing, Men's magazines.

I don't see this as just a moral issue.Fighting a fire is much like a military mission where a team needs to work togather. It's really bad when team members can't trust each other or one man has good reason to ax the other in the head.

Someone needs to go and it shouldn't be the guy that caught his wife fooling around. If you have a choice of getting rid of someone then it should be the person most responsible.

If the Chief wants to fool around he should at least not mess with the wife of a man he may need to save his life. If nothing else he could be fired for being stupid.

I think if the Chief is stupid enough to get caught then he is not smart enough to file a lawsuit! Tennessee is a hire and fire at will state so suing for unjustifiable termination would be ironic since he got promoted to Chief because the previous chief was fired for the same reason.

I sure hope this isnt true, surely mills is smarter than that, to put all those men at risk by having a chief with hardly any experience. Besides that arent there other men in that department that have twenty plus years as a firefighter? I would think one of those men would be a more suitable fit.But , if this is the case, then it seems like brubaker isnt the only one who should be gone, maybe a new city manager needs to be considered.Your talking about the safety of these men and citizens of loudon city, and the familys of the fireman.Just my opinion but the city needs a chief with experience, not saying your wrong but i have to believe mills has mor sense than that

To hilarious...I am not saying that u are wrong, but i have to beleive that this city manager Mills, has more sense than that.I heard that there are numerous men that have twenty plus years in that department, and to give the position as chief and leader to anyone with less experience would be absurd. If not then, in my opinion brubaker as well as mills should be gone. You have to consider these mens safety and lives, they all have families and depend on there chiefs direction and leadership so they can come home to there familys.Im sure its not just my opinion , but everyone else in that city, especially the fireman im sure feel that experience is a major role in there commander and chief.

I think they have someone as a "stand-in" at the moment and I heard they are looking elsewhere to hire a new Chief. I certainly don't think the majority of the citizens would think Lynn Mills did the wrong thing by letting Mike Brubaker go. There is so much more involved than just an affair. Attorneys were involved, financial records pulled, etc. I believe the affair being so public was the straw that broke the camels back. A man is as good as his word, if he is cheating on his wife, with another married woman, sneaking around, that is not someone I would want to be associated with nor to be the leader of my organization. Shame on everyone involved.

The sad part is that they will put someone in who is lacking experience. Brubaker is proof. He just had a few years in the department when they made him chief. There are others who have been there a lot longer that could do the job. Hopefully they keep a right reign on the purse strings while the new one is in hopefully temporarily. If they want to bring dignity instead of cronyism back to the department they will go outside to hire someone who will clean it up!

U are right , that is way too fast to move up through the ranks when there are many other men in that dept that had been there longer and deserved to made captain. Not to metion to be interim chief, i can think of two fireman that should have that job as chief one of which have been at that dept like 22 or 23 years and could probably turn that place around. But, my guess is lynn mills will look right over them just like he did when the chief before was canned and brubaker was made chief.Someone needs to go to city council with that.Of course , theres not any ass kissing coming from them, probably why they were looked over. Question is, what does this new interim chief know or who does he know to be moved through the ranks so quickly? use to seniority and dedication mattered.NOT NOW..sad really, put all that time and work in without any reward
