....GET REAL, yes they will be opening and no its not the wife of the guy that got busted in Maryville. The lady that is opening it is a well respected DR and she use to work at Maryville Pain Clinic. They wiil be opening on Monday beside the mexican resturant in Fred's Shopping Center. She will not be accepting Breakthrough patients either. VPD will only be checking for warrants and other attachments.....so, be legit when you come.

speccialk, you are right...I AM NOT the wife of the guy that was busted in Maryville. My husband is a well respected pharmacist and business owner. I am a NP that suffers from chronic back pain so I can empathize with my patients. The reason I am opening this clinic is to HELP people who are in chronic pain. It will be run strictly and I WILL turn people over to the drug task force if I discover they are involved in anything illegal. VPD is more than welcome to drive through the parking lot any time. They are welcome to come inside if they like and see how the place is ran. The parking lot will be monitored by my office manager and other staff, at all times. I was working at Maryville Pain Management when they were closed. The investigation and charges stemmed from well over a year ago when the NP who was there at the time ran it into the ground because she only cared about money and not about the patients. If you care about your patients and people in general you show up on time, see ALL the patients scheduled that day and not put them off on someone else and you treat the patients and the people you work alongside with RESPECT. I am hoping when people see what a legitimate pain clinic is like (such as Maryville Pain was AFTER that NP was gone) people will back off and let the patients that need pain relief alone!! The sign went up today and it will open this Monday the 10th. Thanks for the kind words specialk. They are much appreciated :)

Painsufferer:

I am local here in Vonore and have been referred to St. Mary's Pain Management by a local dr. I have twice been rescheduled due to their lack of staff, and am having a lot of pain. I was wondering if I could get in at your clinic soon? I have been out of work for over 2 years, but I have BC/BS insurance through my wife's work. Do you accept that insurance? Please let me know, I have been waiting 4 months now for some relief. Thank you.

not all pain clinics are bad. and not all patients abuse their perscriptions. and not all patients try to lie about their symptoms. i have had cancer , twice, had a heart attact, have fybromialgia.. thorastic oulet syndrome, syatic nerve damage in my back lags and private areas. i have hernia, and had 27 surgeries.. both breast removed, historectomy , . i was in a car wreck also so my neck has no curve in it. so i have tention miagrains alotttt , my hands , feet, legs, and butt go numb, tingle and hurt, i hurt from head to toe. there is more but i dont remeber the long names guess what i dont qualify for disability, ( they said i could park cars )or tn care, and someone try and find an insurance co. that will touch me, lol.. so yes i do need pain meds just to function in a half way human feeling life.. the pain gets so bad i cant walk, sometimes,, if i didnt have some type of pain med. i coulnt funtcion at all. . so plz, dont condem all pain clinics, there are people who need them. my previous doc.. decided after 20 years of treating me.. that their office would not administer any pain meds to any one. zero. i got 30 percocet a month.. wow. yah i realy have a drug problem dont i , lol. my x doc. is an idiot. thank god i found someone else before they let me die. now i have to travel 50 miles to get meds, . so i am glad one is opening closer.

Some people need to get a life. That said, Almost...There are many people who suffer from pain and I wish more understood that fact. For the ignorant comments above...the AMerican Medical Association AND the American Nurses Association has announced that 70-80 MILLION people suffer from chronic pain and that it is a TRUE DISORDER that needs to be addressed and people treated. If idiots that make stupid comments could walk in MY shoes for a day they would stop making stupid comments. I don't have to take pain medication regularly. I still hurt, just some days are a lot worse than others. FOr some people those "some days" that I have are an every day occurance. There will always be naysayers...and they deserve to be placed on the "ignore" list.:)

Dear Pain Sufferer,
I am well aware of who you are. I have done NOTHING BUT stand up for you in the past few weeks. As you will see on Monday Morning, I have been a patient of yours for the past few years. I dont know if you remember off hand, But I was the one you ran into in the new Walmart on 411 around Christmas. You and I talked for a while and you told me about the office and about when to start looking for you to open. I only want to be seen by YOU. So i have been patiently waiting for your business to open up. I have already went and gotten all of my paperwork that you had on file at Maryville, so you have new copies for your new office. I have nothing but respect for you and the way that you do mantain good patient care. I am also well aware that the BOTH of you have done nothing wrong, contrary to what others in this forum are saying, and thats why i sent out the message that I did. N I am happy that you saw that. See you Monday. If you wish to contact me, email me at specialkw25@att.net and I will remind you who I am. Although I know that the second you see me you will remember just like you did in Walmart when you and I talked for so long!! LOL
As for the rest of you people on here talking crap about stuff that you dont know, obviously you are the ones that make us LEGITE Pain Sufferers suffer! So leave things to yourselves. If you were Legite, you would know what we r going through, and wouldn't be running your mouths bout stupid stuff and WELL RESPECTED PEOPLE YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW!!! SO STOP!!!

Thanks SpecialK and yes of course I remember who you are. Unfortunately there are and always will be people who do not understand and that is OK. As long as there are others who DO understand then things will work out. I learned a long time ago that there are some people that will never change so I choose to ignore them as best I can :) I will see you on Monday and thanks again for your support. It means more than you know.

I also have praised the work you have done. I noticed the change at the clinic around the beginning of 2010. That is why i was so suprised when the clinic was closed. Until 2 yrs ago i didnt know what pain really was. Ive had 2 back surgerys. Major nerve damage. My orthopedic dr referred me to the clinic along with my neuroligist. Life had lost its meaning. You gave me back my life. I was able to enjoy things again. My dr has prescribed me some meds to make it til you open up which im thankful for. I cried in pain for days!! Also your husband is wonderful. I had pneumonia for a month. None of the antibiotics worked. The last antibiotic prescribed no pharmacy in maryville or knoxville had. They also said they couldnt order it. When your husband found out i had it the next day. Your both so caring and compasionate.

I will tell you that a when things really changed in Maryville was when that guy took over the clinic. He got rid of all the pill heads. After he was there a month I would come in for my appt and there would not even be cars in the parking lot. I did not even know he was sick until he was gone. I saw him the other day and he could barely walk. He really cared for people, and tried to do things right. Cancer is so bad. If you know him, please pray for him, I dont think he has long to be with us.

Yes, the practitioner before me was the one who cleaned Maryville Pain Management up. He kicked out anyone who couldn't pass a urine drug screen, who was shooting up and who didn't have the medical documentation to be there. He is doing much better but has lost a lot of mobility in his arm. For the person who asked for my credentials and real name. I've already stated my credentials and sorry, I'm not posting my real name on here. This is after all a public forum. If anyone wants to know my name they can figure out how to get it.

I put that post on here as a joke. How I got marked with spam is beyond me.If it bothered anybody, sorry it was a joke.My wife and I have talked about these places because she has fibromyalgia. The reason we haven't tried is because of all the crap that goes on at those places. So if cop's can keep an eye on that's cool. They do a good job with everything else I think.
