I hope eveyone supports the sell of beer and wine in lamesa. I'm tired of over paying for beer everywhere they do sell beer right now. I just wish they would open up a better place than that old people, lame, boring, sorry excuse for a bar. I think everyone knows what I am talking about. The TABC keeps them open because they pay them well. If I did all the illegal sh*t they do I would be in prison!!!!!!!!!

The truth is lamesa as a town could have a better economy if beer and liquor sales were allowed. The town could better and profit not just a single establishment. Plus it would save gas for a lot of drinkers wouldn't have to make that drive all the way out to los ybanez. Their is no reason for us not to legalize it when its a win win situation for all except of course los ybanez. Who looses their monoply on the beer and liquor sales.

As much as the idea of seeing alcohol on the shelves in town bothers me, i would rather have it legal in town than for lamesa people giving their money to other places.

Yes we do need to vote to legalize alcohol in our town. What seems to be the problem? Well ill tell you the "Ybanez family" israel talked on the radio station about why and how it would not be a good idea to legalize alcohol but he know's damn well he will be out of business!!! He states that if alcohol is legalized that our town will need more police officers but why is that? So he is saying its ok for ppl to go buy alcohol from los ybanez and make them money and he doesnt have a problem then when ppl are bringing the alcohol he just sold to them back to our town!!!the same amount of alcohol that is sold to ppl out at l y can be sold to ppl from our own town and who wants to pay $30 for a thirty pack at l y when we can pay $26 for a thirty pack in our town and keep the cash flow in our town. They have made more than their share money wise so why not let our town make their share!!!!

it would be cool but it would not make it. David Lee on a weekend would cost you about $13,000. You have to advertise your concert on the Radio which of course lamesa does not have a station. Closest stations with Tejano or any spanish music would be Midland and Lubbock. That would cost about 500.00 to plug for like a week and that for each station. You have to make sure that people are willing to buy ticket and come to the show. You also have to lease the property unless you own it. Its not a club unless you sell the alcohol there so don't make byob. Your must be TABC certified as well. Lets say you dont make it enough to pay any band plus the alcohol you purchased it would come out of the owners pocket. Lamesa is a small market for a club. It might start off good but wont last. Plus the people dont know how to act there.
