I've been closing following Governor Martinez' appointment to the various State boards and commissions. As much she has taunted her southern roots, her appointments are certainly lacking with good and qualified Las Crucens who are just as experienced and passionate to serve.

How soon "we forget" our roots and citizens.

It is really disappointing to see this. I think that she has surrounded herself with "advisors" from Albuquerque who are not friendly to the south. Also, some of her staff is very biased and discriminatory in their review process.

Governor, please appoint more Las Crucens to posts, boards, commissions, and employment opportunities.

The BEST CANDIDATE should be where the emphasis is placed, NOT where the person is from. So far I've no real overall problem with her picks.

She did appoint Jon Barela from Las Cruces, but he was unable to get confirmed.
