I'm really shocked by the lack of ethics in the US entertainment industry.
There's a K-pop company which has been trying to make it big in America for many years and they have been failing and failing and failing. The company is called JYP Entertainment.
Now they seem to be throwing alot of money around in desperation. It's actually pretty funny because Psy wasn't even trying to become famous in the USA, and he accomplished much more than JYPE ever will.
But what bothers me is that many of these K-pop companies (not Psy's company, however) seem to be shady beyond belief.
JYP Entertanment, for instance, has now had THREE scandals in New York City. And Nick Cannon, The Jonas Brothers, Billboard Magazine and now Akon still seem to be trying to cash in with this company. Basically, how stupid are they? Sooner or later some journalist in America is going to expose all this.
For instance, this Korean company brought over 5 very young female performers from Korea and had them housed in illegal firetraps above the JYPE office space. The Department of Buildings shut down half of this building and declared that the rooms were hazardous to human life.
So to save money this company placed young Asian women in potentially deadly firetraps.
So Akon is teaming up with this kind of company? Shady is an understatement for this company, obviously. Akon thinks Asian women should be treated like this?
Here are some links about the building violations, followed by links concerning the other two huge scandals. http://view.koreaherald.com/kh/view.php...
<--- What kind of douche bag racks up 9 violations?!!! http://24-7kpop.com/2012/10/17/jyps-nyc-offic... http://www.kstar10.com/view.htm... http://www.asianjunkie.com/2012/10/jyp-entert... http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2012/10/17...

Basically, I have to believe Nick Cannon, Akon et al. must be getting kickbacks or something because, honestly, the performers JYPE is promoting are really BAD. Bad bad, not good bad. They can't sing, they are not attractive,...it's been one failure after another. Yet the company keeps getting entertainment folks involved in their projects.
That doesn't seem fishy?
