I know the people that were hit by this woman Kimberly (a side note of her being in a shoulder injury accident before she attempted to cross the 405). The people that were hit were on the shoulder with a disabled vehicle calling for help. Kimberly hit the disabled vehicle and nowt the passenger has a broken back in 2 places (neck and lower back) and is today in extreme pain awaiting the first of multiple surgeries. She is 24, was going to be married soon and was just returning home from work. Don't think that Kimberly is innocent even if she is now dead...because of her actions of not paying attention she has disrupted many people and their families, ...as well as those in the accidents. Think of the person that hit Kimberly, this person will live with this for the rest of her life. I'm sorry for Kimberly, but I wish she would have paid more attention or at least just stayed in her car. God be will all of those involved and their families and friends.

If this is true, then there was something else going on there, if you know what I mean.

Normal drivers and normal people don't do what she did.

Nature sorts out the weak, sick, or stupid.

It's hard to "think" when you're on some sort of mind altering chemicals, or lack thereof.

What other explanation for this woman's inexplicable actions?

Who in their right mind, for ANY REASON tries to cross a freeway.....especially the 405?

However, how can u miss seeing someone walking across lanes of freeway???
The same way some drivers miss seeing a stalled/crashed vehicle on the freeway at night until they crash into it. It happens.

It takes intelligence to survive in this world, and obviously she didn't have very much of it.
I pray the lord provide you with decernment not to judge this or any given situation. She was a close friend of mine since we were young girls & had a great deal of intellegence. Did it ever occur to you she may have been in shock? I guess that slipped past your intellegence! Do the world a favor by keeping your pathetic opinion to yourself for now on!

Clap, clap, clap!

You must be one of those non-judgemental bleeding hearts.

She was either stupid, f***ed-up, or both.

How else do you explain it? Stupid is as stupid does.

Careful.....Nature might sort YOU out, too!

Could it have slipped past your intelligence that your 'friend' was high? I know that whenever I've had an accident, I always run into traffic.....especially on the 405!

Get real, and stop making excuses for this woman. I'm sorry for anyone losing their life, but there is no explanation.

Your rationalization that she was in "shock" could be construed as your own "pathetic opinion", but I'm too civilized to request that you "keep it to yourself from now on".

Your goal is to safely guide five frogs across the road and river so that they each in turn reach their lily pad homes. There are many obstacles along the way: if you're not too careful you could be flattened by a car, drowned in the river or eaten by a crocodile. So take it easy on the little froggies.

Hello, out there, it is my sincere prayer, that if something like this happens to your family members or friends, that the ones that write in are a little more merciful than most of you have been. Prayers out to the family and you too!

Been around a number of years. Seen em' come, seen em' go. Literal 'Doo-dah Parade'. So many need it, but very few want it. You know what I mean.....

What frosts me are those who make excuses.....there's a thousand excuses.....but no reason.

That's my point. And who is responsible? The other driver? The liquor store?'The Man'?

What I've learned is personal responsibility. None of this excuse crap. Yeah, if there is a reason, drugs & alcohol were probably the cause. But I'm sure she had a part in it. She paid the consequence. A good example for people like us.

See you there. I'll be the guy from New Mexico!

Excuse me!!!! This "woman" or "female" which ever way you want to go with it, does have a family. Do you know what was going on in her mind, as she was trying to make her way across the busy highway? Do you? She was probably scared; she was just in a injury collision! You are not God, so I sure hope you don't think you where put on this earth to judge anyone. Next time why don't you think before you act. How do you talk about a dead person like that? You would think, everything that is going on in the world, that you would have some compassionate individuals out here, but there goes wishful thinking. Have a wonderful and blessed day. I just pray that you will never put in a compromising sitiuation like that!!!

I'm hearing violins.....

It's in the paper every day about people in accidents, injury accidents, fatal accidents, and I don't hear about them running into traffic.

You have no idea why she did it any more than I do. But something which I've put forward is more plausable than "she was scared" or "she was in shock".

See if it does not turn out that she was under the influence of something, and I will become compassionate.

Until that day, I chalk her up to either stupidity, alcohol and/or dope, or the combination of all three.

Gee, I sure hope that you're not "judging" me......say your prayers for yourself. I've already been blessed....Thank you.

Unfortunately, in the land of me, me ME! nobody wants to slow down long enough or get off their damn phones long enough to pay attention to their driving.

There's really no reason to be trying to cross the freeway anyhow. You walk down to the next exit.
