Latino president?, like a honest guy like Joe Baca? or maybe one of his relatives?
I cannot see myself voting a Latino since the majority are corrupted the problem is Obama is less than average president (till now) but he still the best choice around and that's the sad part about it... |

1 Among the key finding of the report are that the state’s already struggling K-12 education system spends approximately $7.7 billion a year to school the children of illegal aliens who now constitute 15 percent of the student body. Another $1.4 billion of the taxpayers’ money goes toward providing health care to illegal aliens and their families, the same amount that is spent incarcerating illegal aliens criminals. “California’s addiction to ‘cheap’ illegal alien labor is bankrupting the state and posing enormous burdens on the state’s shrinking middle class tax base,” stated Dan Stein, President of FAIR.“Most Californians, who have seen their taxes increase while public services deteriorate, already know the impact that mass illegal immigration is having on their communities, but even they may be shocked when they learn just how much of a drain illegal immigration has become.” |

I can vote for a Latino and in fact, I have voted for several. Honest Joe was never one of them as he is too racist. If a Latino is going to become president, he is going to have to be for all races and not amnesty as that would appear that he is rewarding his race because they are Latino. |
Yeah and hopefully not racist like many of the Latino politicians! |
barack obama is only half black. so he is our first half black president. we still have not voted for our first black president.
You are right he is a biracial president even though he denies his white heritage! |
thats a shame that he denies his own heritage. if it was not for his white half, he would not have gone to that expensive private school that lead him to be president. |
Interesting! |
thats a low blow |

I am all for a latino president, or Japanese president or a Chinese president...as long as he has SOME experience managing something, has enough common-sense to not spend/borrow the country out of debt. It would be great if the understood that attacking busninesses DOES NOT create jobs. But I'm just talkin' crazy now.

A very sophisticated article for the Daily Bulletin. But "Latino" President, what does that mean? It's a crude, meaningless category. Very few Cuban-Americans or Mexican-Americans would be excited to be called "Latino." And speaking of Cubans and Mexicans, there are rival factions within the so-called "Latino" population.
A Mexican-American guy in Los Angeles has nothing in common with a Cuban-American in Miami. They don't even speak the same kind of "Spanish." And don't ask them what they think of Puerto Ricans or Guatamalans. And so it goes. I did like how all the academics and politicians were positive about the future. But Gloria Molina came off as whiner, worried about the Gardener/Maid sterotype. Maybe the old, entrenched politicos have a hard time seeing the future. |

1 He's a newbie in the political arena, a junior senator, learning the ropes. Not the best pick for a president. Seems like a lot of his youth and college days are kept under wraps. That's not good either when you run on a campaign of a transparent government. We are being steered away from the country's traditions and it's been happening for a long time. Seems as a country we are rejecting what has worked for 250 years. I don't care what color or gender the president is, what matters is the continuing success of America. After all where would we be without it? |
A Latino President would be a racist President.

Who cares whether he/she is black, half-black, Latino or whatever. The question is can he/she run the country in a way in which freedom flourishes, business prospers and folks can live the "American Dream" That's sure not happening under the Obama/Pelosi/Reid regime and likely won't happen as long as left-wing Democrats remain in power.

On no, please. if that happens our country might as well open up the border between Mexico and call it all the USA. There will be more babies and no control ever over women having babies seeing as how this is the Latino's favorite pass-time and they can get more food stamps for having more kids. We have a problem in this country folks, over population in case you have not noticed. The latino's seem to be the ones that contribute the most. :-( Water shortage, global warming, crowded freeways, and about any problem you can think of is because of over population. A Latino President sure wil not help as I am sure he or she would try to favor his own kind. Most of them are not educated enough anyway, thank God.

We still have not seen BO's real birth certificate have we?

Well, we know for certain that our present one does not have any business sense unless we are talking about destruction and then he is a shoe in! |
