I have mixed emotions regarding another Big *(unionized)* grocery store exiting Long Beach. On the one hand, the closing of stores where insolent Africans intimidate the few remaining White shoppers into "making way" as they pass is illustrative of the failure of revolutionary Council's social and economic programs.*(Council controlled grocery stores doing business in the city are forced to participate in the harassment of the many thousands of city residents who enjoy an occasional tobacco product. Revolutionary Council mandates a $520 tax on EVERY grocery store in every chain that sells tobacco products, even though the price of those Government controlled products is mostly Government tax. Council controlled Grocery stores simply cannot afford to pay this tax. The only way out is to eliminate stores doing business in the city. Albertson's is doing just that.)

On the other hand, in its effort to harass decent Long Beachers who do not use tobacco products, revolutionary Council cleverly sought to increase "the bottom line" of high priced Big *(unionized)* Grocery stores. Council did this by criminalizing competitive minded little *(non-union)* grocers who offer the simple convenience of providing free grocery bags for their customers to carry their Government controlled groceries to their overtaxed humble homes. When Council eliminated competition in this manner, Big *(unionized)* Grocers gloated. Signs were posted outside those stores asking customers if they remembered to bring their own taxed "reusable" grocery bags that they stood the cost for. I recall these signs to that effect that were posted in the parking lot outside the downtown Albertson's.

If they do, let's hope they bring their glasses so they can "read the fine print" that is posted on Von's gondola shelves and their "weekly special" brochures.
