Take it and shove it. Just because you're an incompetent, unskilled bureaucrat making a living far richer than you deserve on the backs of taxpapyers and don't like the message doesnt' mean that I'll stop. Matter of fact, I take it as encouragement to keep on posting the same message.

NO MORE TAXES! NO NEW TAXES! LESS GOVERNMENT INTRUSION IN OUR LIVES! MORE EFFICIENT GOVERNMENT! MORE ACCOUNTABLE GOVERNMENT! MORE HONEST GOVERNMENT! LESS GOVERNMENT! LOWER TAXES!

Look fruitloop, I'm referring to your party, the Tea Baggers aka the Tea Party aka The John Birch Society. If you want to make sexual references about something as innocuous as a tea bag, so be it. You're a sick puppy.

Why can't they ever work on Increasing productivity instead of figuring out ways to waste Everyones time. Everyone will have to remember to grab their bags and bring them in and have them used. A few minutes extra Every time Everyone goes grocery shopping.

A better world results from less time wasted, not more time wasted.

So now I'll have to wait in line while the hippie douche in front of me argues with the checker about how to stuff her canvas bag because she can't bear the shame of buying a 10 cent paper sack. Or you'll have to wait behind me because I refuse to pay ten cents for a paper sack. Whatever doesn't go into the canvas bag gets left right there at the counter, unpaid, and everyone will have to wait while the mess gets cleaned up.

This ban is a hollow gesture and the government only got excited about it, I'm guessing, because the ten cents per bag goes to them.

They are called single-use bags, but I use every one at least twice. They fit my kitchen trash can.
However, I support Heal the Bay 100%. They are a concerned and committed activist organization whose goal benefits everyone in Southern California, even those who never go to the beach and don't see the trash that builds up there.

Liberals always get excited when their partnership with government results in people paying more taxes and more government control.

It's a power thing with liberals. Liberals are typically weak control freaks. They're starved for power and have an insatiable need to feel relevant and better than the rest of us. This is the energy they feed on when they force us to modify our behavior. Whether it be with the myth of manmade global warming, politically correct speech and thought control, or animal rights fascism ... they find an excuse to inconvenience our lives. This is why liberal socialism typically transitions into fascism and/or totalitarianism.

This seems pretty clear to me, Tree Huggers were upset becasue the vast majority of the public would rather use disposable bags than have to carry and wash non-desposible bags.

This is a real win for Tree Huggers but a huge loss for freedom of choice.

A small minority can force the majority to do what they want them to.

I feel sorry for moms with big families who will now have to show up with enough bags to fill a shopping cart. That's a lot of bags to haul around in a small car that might alredy be pretty full of car seats and baby supplies.

I guess mom's like that can just make several small trips instead of one big trip each week. I wonder if that's really better for the environment???

Let's make bags from the hides. First you should wash the smell off the newly harvested Mexican hide and then deicide if you want a bag or sandals. If you choose sandals, you then need to think about the sole. Either an old tire, or many layers of Mexican hide similar to leather soles on Gucci shoes. You end up killing two or three birds with one stone.

Hmm....

This is a no brainer, anyone can buy platic grocery bags for 2 cents each and their clean, sanatary and only take a fraction of the space needed to hold re-usable bags.

If you like using the plastic bags you don't have to stop using them or pay a fortune to buy them from the store, just keep a small quality in your car.

The so-called upper echelons of society ("banning nannies") will continue to buy their 1.3mil Glad ForceFlex and Hefty Ultra Flex sacs for trash as well as their rainbow "biodegradable" dogpoop bags for their Great Danes, while they drive off to Gelson's in their 8-cylinder SUV's with their lead & E Coli tainted eco-friendly slave-labor made tot sacs.

And the politicians and bureaucrats will just order them with public funds and take them home.

Don't know what the big whoop is about. Been using natural canvass bags since 1980 -- just easier. Keep 'em in the car trunk for easy access. Toss in wash every week & still going strong. No piles of plastic to stash & trash.

What do you do when you buy more than fits in the bags you have?

Do you sell them too or import them from China? Are your's free of lead? Are you sure the wash eliminates the bacteria infestation?

How dare you withhold tax revenue from Da Gubment! You better take paper and pay the tax! And buy lots of aluminum cans and plastic bottles, too, so that you pay the deposit tax, don't worry you might get a penny back for every deposit dime spent -- as long as you save them and then spew global warming emissions into the atmosphere to drive them to a recycling center and hang out with the homeless.

next thing is to regulate how much you buy at the grocery store so you don't exceed your quota or the capacity of the bag.

Just go with it. It's for your own good. The government says so and they know what's best for you. Haven't they done a great job running our lives so far?
