Joe Mathews: In L.A. and California, the need for more diversity
When your city's civic leaders issue a big report called "A Time for Truth," it's natural to wonder if they're admitting that everything they've told you in the past is bull.

Joe Mathews quotes "studies" to lament the fact that L.A. and California has a need for more diversity. He has a good point. There are not enough White people left for L.A. and California to be truly diverse.
Matthews seems to subscribe to one of the disproved pet social theories of the Left that claims "our diversity is one of our greatest assets". He also laments the fact that "our famously centralized governing system limits the ability of local officials to raise revenues" - this despite the fact that area residents pay what is among the nation's highest county and city sales taxes and county property taxes.
Matthews resorts to the use of the "we" word to proclaim that "we" *(failed)* to have enough children. While it is true that the 60s 70s era White woman failed to successfully reproduce her own kind - unlike her more fecund Latina sisters and the female Africans - she is not entirely responsible for the proportionate decline of Anglos - and thus of diversity - in the State.
