How can they convert a freeway into a tollway? I thought there was a law in California that says they can't convert a existing roadway into a tool way. The roadway was already paid for by our tax dollars. Now the rich get to pay to pass all the traffic. This is a sad day for California!

Now that we are getting our Tolls, I think we have arrived. Not a problem; it is time that we pay for our Freeways....oops, no longer can call it FREE. Folks the time has come, whether you like it or not-to pay as go. Look on the bright side, everyone who drives the HWY will have to pay....I don't think they will come up with vouchers? California need the money, so now lets get excited about paying as we go.

The more I live in the U.S. and in California, go to work everyday as a legal worker who pays taxes, gets overcharged for health insurance & wait in line at hospitals with county-assisted medical or whatever it is with non-English speaking, Home Depot parking lot employees or painters hired by the Koreans, I truly understand why we had the Boston Tea Party from our forefathers. So what do we have to do to stop all these constantly raising taxes????
The other other subject is now we own realestate, banks, GM, Ford & Chrsyler and have to pay our house payments & buy a car. Why didn't the gob't just give all of us hard-working Americans (who filed taxes or collect Social Security or going to college to better ourselves or unwed US mothers)$400,000 each and as we spend it all the problems will be taken care of---the economy would be great and we'd have something to show for our money instead of us just paying the bill.
