Well it seems the good Reverend is at it again.
He has managed to alienate just about everybody. His members continue to leave the mighty St. Paul Baptist Church. He celebrated his 11 year pastoral anniversary at St. Paul on Sunday, February 17, 2008 and there was hardly anyone there. His wifes church Testimonial Church of God in Christ was supposed to come to celebrate, but what happens, they don't show up. According to sources at the church, Bishop JB Hackworth refused to come and bring his congregation because Rev Ward disrespected his daughter by not having her name on the program. I mean come on she is the First Lady. You see it all over The Wave, Sentinel,and ACC. "Pastor and Wife Anniversary" or Pastor and First Lady". Does this man have any respect for women? His Children didn't attend his anniversary service either. Angela has gotten herself a winner this time.

Well my neighbor is a St. Paul Members who confirmed this did happen. But she also told me that the Pastors ex member, friend and lover who gave him half a million to fund a basketball event using her house as collateral lost her house and is living with a relative with a lawsuit against him pending. That is the worstest thing I have ever heard, So none of this other stuff should shock you. He doesnt like women, only what they can do for him. When he first came to that church, I didn't like him. And with all the other drama,I asked Pookie, why do you still go there? What kind of man of God does these things to his members? I guessed its not for me know. God blessed all involved witht the man

Angela is mean as hell; she thinks she is all that; but the people at her church Testimonal call her a dressed-up mess.. All of her "husbands" were losers, believe it or not she right behind them. She find love once again in all the wrong places....

AN AMERICAN TRAGEDY — It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything new about the Rev. Joel Anthony Ward, pastor of what’s left of historic St. Paul Baptist Church. We knew that if we’d just wait, something would surely come, and here it is: Verna Woodfox, a member of the church and about whom the community has talked for more than a year, has finally filed suit against Ward (Case No. BC38320 if you want to read it for yourself, and you should) alleging fraud, negligent misrepresentation and breach of oral contract. Not only is she suing Ward, but also his precious school, the Joel John Scholastic Academy, the church and 100 unidentified “Does.”

In a nutshell, the 17-page lawsuit, filed by Encino attorney Steven D. Kramar, asserts that Ward, holding out the promise of marriage, induced Woodfox to borrow $405,000 on her home to finance his school’s basketball tournament and resolve his church’s financial woes. Woodfox was unable to make the payments on the loan, so it went into default. To resolve that catastrophe, she borrowed $375,000 from Alfreda Tyler and signed promissory notes secured by deeds of trust on her house. Woodfox is incapable of paying Tyler, and now Tyler is foreclosing on her property.

As we all know, Ward married somebody else and Woodfox’s suit suggests that the woman has finally come to her senses, stating that “Ward had no intention of marrying [her] and/or remaining with her and assisting her to pay off the loans.” Woodfox’ suit was filed on Nov. 6, 2007, and Ward’s attorney filed a five-page answer to her complaint on Feb. 29 stating, in essence, Woodfox is a liar and the court should pay Ward for having to deal with her.

In other developments, rapper Master P has been asked to serve on the executive board of Ward’s school and he has been named “commissioner of basketball” for the school’s basketball tournament scheduled for later this year. Somebody needs to pull this brother’s coat.

Well he can't disrespect her anymore, seeing that he was served this week with annulment papers. She is very smart indeed, for when he loses this lawsuit and has to pay up, no one can come after the wife for the money since he has none. She is now just another ex wife or actually with an annulment she was never his wife. Damn he can't keep a woman can he, but I hear he has yet another one at the church. Loser!

These are are STUPID. I mean what is the point of all this. From the start he has been a fool working on the lonely, no man having stupid women at St Paul.

His latest one, Angela Hackworth, of Testimonial Church of God in Christ, whom he married on Oct. 10, 2007, filed for an annulment (case no. YD053781) on March 19.… A case management conference was held on April 3 on the lawsuit filed against Ward by Verna Woodfox alleging fraud, breach of contract, breach of promise, etc. The court set a jury trial of Woodfox’s suit on Nov. 5 in Department 54 before Judge Ernest Hiroshige. The trial is expected to last from five to seven days — plenty of time for everybody to get over there and watch it.

An annulment is not automatic simply because requested by the petitioning party, or simply because the marriage the marriage was of short duration. Cause is required and the party seeking an annulment must "prove" his or her case by establishing necessary legal grounds in conformity with the laws of the State of California.
The grounds for annulment under the California annulment laws are:
Fraud
Incest
Mental disability
Lack of sexual consummation
Being under a consenting age
Polygamy
Duress
My guess with Wards history is that is was fraud!!!

I wonder if the new woman is paying for his lawyer fee's. He can't have any money.

I pray Ms. Hackworth-Brown-Sanchez-Ward waits on the LORD! She is a beautiful woman naturally and in the Lord. She must rebuild from this, and for those that are trying to tear her down, God be with you! No matter what, she is yet a woman of GOD and woke up before the enemey could completely destroy her by Mr. Ward (he does not deserve to be called Pastor or Reverened)

The irony of Mrs. Woodfox's case is that she herself was fired from her previous employment for fraud. Karma doesn't like being fooled.
"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."

Okay, the real fraudster in this case is Verna Woodfox. Not only was she fired from her high ranking position at her former job for FRAUD earlier this year, but she is also one of the most condescending, rude and incompetent women I have ever met. She was on a power trip everyday at work--I don't care what title or car you drive, but if you claim to be a woman of GOD and all this other shananigans she was alway preaching, then don't be two-faced. I hope the truth prevails. I know she's hitting up church these days and praying for a miracle. Guess what? Too late. I would be believing in KARMA these days...practice what you preach Ms. Woodfox.
