I don't claim to be an expert in the relationship area like a Dr. Drew or a Dr. Phil or somebody.

But the problem may be in the location that shows in your Topix posts as a grey and a green. Perhaps, the "good" girls are having trouble finding you. Normally, a location in a post is blue and can be clicked on and take the person to that forum. Yours is a faded grey and can not be clicked on. I don't claim to be an expert in IP Addresses either. I do like how yours shows "United States". You can feel comfortable on any of Topix's U.S. Forums and you would not be easy to guess like someone who goes all over posting under the same city/state location (for example "whatever city, CA").

;-)

SERIOUSLY THOUGH ... maybe you're looking for love in all the wrong places. Did you ever try looking for a good girl in Church?

Hey, Topix has Dating stuff. Notice the photos while on a forum or thread. I figure that female (since you are looking for females) posters on Topix are probally the "goooood" ones. They sure make smart posts and look at those cute photos.

Unless there was a typo in your thread title.

Are you sure you didn't mean to say "God girls are hard to find =]"?

A goddess would be hard to find. But then again, as beautiful as those photos are on Topix's Dating thing, maybe ALL the female posters on Topix are goddesses.

You're right, that sounded sexist. I know men do it more than women. For that, I apologize. What I meant is that I am not like that. I know girls say "I'm not like that either" but where the f**k are those girls?

Best comment so far. Thanks for that. I'm definitely going to look for a non-Americanized Asian Bombshell.:]

Yeah, I just started this post randomly. I didn't look where I posted it or anything. Funny that you mentioned church because I just went last Sunday for the first time in 2 years. I meet a couple of nice girls but they were taken -_- However I saw a beautiful one that was singing and pretty much standing in front of me all the time... I'm probably going to go for it! Her voice was astonishing. As far as finding someone online... I'm kind of a skeptic because of trolls and stupid people who want to play around. I'm just going to roll through life and whatever happens, happens...

I was just kidding around about the location thing. I hope you know that. Trying to be funny.

Seriously ... I would like to find some way or a program that could allow my posts hide my location or let me choose what location shows. I have experienced some negative stuff in the past and with evil trolls and hackers and and identity theft malicious stuff like viruses out there. You know?

Cool name ... Subconcious.

Then again, I have heard it is the so called "good" Church girls that are really the wild ones to watch out for. HA! If Church attendence goes up next week, we'll know they been reading us on here. LOL!!!

It really is nice in this day and time to see someone holding out for the right one.

Cartman? The legendary friend of Stan and Kyle?

What makes you think I am a girl? Or good? Is it because I want to hide or change my "IP" so that hackers or evil trolls can't get their hands on my computer activity and play with my "privacy"? ;-)

Okay I failed, I really thought you could do that haha! My bad.

I agree. It's sad people waste their time like that. Lmaoooo that's hilarious, I've never heard anyone refer to them as ''evil trolls.''

Thanks, It's misspelled but I was 12 when I started using it so blah why not keep it as it is.

I know what you mean, they say they're wild and stuff but not all are like that. I heard they're sexually crazy, meaning they like crazy sex. Not necessarily that they have sex with whatever, whenever. You never know though... o_o HAHA, I can only hope they're reading! Lol.

Thanks, that means a lot to me. Most of my friends tell me I'm stupid and blah blah. I don't really care. I miss sex though xD I'm just going to dedicate my life to helping others in any way I can. I'm going to be selfless, maybe a good girl will notice that and appreciate who I am.

I assume you are referring to the location thing. Well, you can click on a blue colored location that shows in a post and go to that particular forum. That's true. I don't know how but there really are ways to change or hide the location that shows in a post. I want to but not to troll others. I just want to for safety reasons. They call the internet the WWW (World Wide Web) and it has become just that. It's like one big sticky web full of poisoness spiders that are trapping unsuspecting flies just surfing along. The negative experiences of hackers, the identity theft, the malicious stuff like viruses and spyware. And yes, the very real evil trolls that stalk and harrass others. That's why I am uneasy about posting my real name. I have had some negative experiences. But I love Topix. Met some cool posters.

Yeah, I don't really care much. I just don't post my real information on the web either. I haven't experienced trolls or stalkers but I did get some fake checks for a job I didn't do. The weird thing is that they were written to my name. o_o

When I brought evil trolls I didn't mean to sound like a whiner. To read and post on Topix I'm at the point where I believe anyone can say what they want and I feel that we have to have an open mind to everyone's opinions. Some have extreme views. Some are just trying to be funny and enjoy themselves. Some are trying to prank others. Some are just trying to carry on a real discussion. Some are just wanting a post pal. You know? We all post for whatever reason. But then there is the question of when does a poster make a comment that crosses over to something like real hate speech and therefore becomes like an evil troll? And then there is the question of when does a poster take a harmless innocent comment too serious and feel like they are being harrassed or stalked in some way? We are lucky we still have Topix in 2012. In a time of political corrrectness when so many are putting safeguards on our freedom of speech and telling us that we can't say this or we can only say that, Topix stands out as a beacon (like a lighthouse or a sanctuary) where we can all gather and express and discuss our various viewpoints on issues and have a good time and meet nice people along the way. Some do not always act civil and socialable in doing so but I guess that comes along with the territory and Topix moderators are there to step in and come to the rescue when there really is a need to. I know I have over-reacted to comments and took them to personal in the past. Yet, there have been some situations where I feel that I did encounter real evil troll activity. But I have never done that "Feedback" thing and reported anything to Topix. One of my posting friends on Topix, Stan and Kyle, once said that people take it too serious and need to just have some fun. He is right. I know my life off of Topix is chaotic at times, especially in the past year, and being able to come on Topix from time to time is a good thing for me. Seems some see posting as a opportunity to take their troubles out on others though. I don't want to be one of those people. One time I even started a thread where we all could come on and just post what we really wanted to say about anything. One of my posting friends on Topix, lastoutlaw, thought it was a great idea and a good therapy to ease the stress of what we all experience on Topix. Maybe there should be a Topix Forum for that purpose. Sorry to go on and on. Maybe it was something I needed to say. Hope it helped someone else.

About posting real information. Like full name. I have seen some do it on Topix. I recently encountered a woman, on a Topix Ohio Forum, who is a friend that I pretty much grew up with since childhood and through teen years. We haven't spoke or seen each other in a long time. She is going around posting her real first and last name. Turns out she had been personally attacked on Topix. I posted her on a few threads that she started. I told her I didn't feel comfortable giving my real name but I gave her a few clues about some things from our past that should show her I really did know her and wasn't pretending to. And I don't feel comfortable enough yet to give my real name. I'm nobody famous or anything like that. Just a regular person. But have you seen threads people start on local Forums about people and use their real names to spread rumors? But, if she had not posted her real name, I probally wouldn't have recognized her.

Ha. Ha. Did you try to cash those fake checks?

You haven't experienced trolls or stalkers yet? Well buddy, you need to put on some Troll Axe. It draws them like flies. HA! You ever see those commercials for Axe, that deodorant body wash that supposedly attracts women to men?

I get what you mean. That's cool that you met up with your friend, I have kept in touch with most of my childhood friends (I'm only 21 so pretty much everyone I know has a Facebook) so I don't really need to put my real identity anywhere.

Yes I tried to cash those checks but luckily my girlfriend at the time knew they were fake so we went in the bank and kind of explained everything to the person helping us, she was nice about it but here's the hilarious part: We were leaving and the bank was closing so they locked the doors. I tried to open it and I kinda freaked out cause I thought they were gonna call the cops on us!
We got in the car and as I was driving home, I saw a cop driving on the other side of the street. At the light, he turned on his sirens and did a U turn. I thought he was going to pull me over or something! I felt like a criminal! Hahaha! They just past by me and didn't even look at us. It was so intense... Lol.

I'd rather not use Trollaxe. The less evil trolls I encounter, the best my topix experience will be ^-^

Facebook. Yeah. I'm not a member yet but seems like everybody is on it these days. Probally just a matter of time before I get pulled in too. Even the President of the United States. I saw something on TV not to long ago that said he even used it to run for President back in 2008. Wild. Even the previous Prez is on it. Some things about Facebook. And you can tell me if I'm wrong. Saw on the news that Facebook has started its own E-Mail (@facebook.com) thing and has stuck it to all the members. I've been wondering if a member can use that E-Mail name anywhere or if it's only for Facebook. Unlike Topix, gotta be registered to Facebook. I've been wondering if Topix will start their own E-Mail for members and require full name.

Funny story. Would make good for TV or movie. The Adventures of Subconcious!

Topix is my 1st social experience on the net. So, far it is my only one yet. When I first came on I kinda was immature on a few forums. I don't know why but I was what I would call gang-posted. I don't know if they grouped together to act as good trolls to run me off because of something I posted. I was just being a silly on silly threads. Others were too but I felt singled out. I have had some experiences too where I took things too serious and got into arguments with other posters. But the thing is that I always tried to apologize and make it right. Those things occured during my 1st year as a poster. I'm in my 2nd year now on Topix. I feel that I have matured enough as a poster to just try to enjoy the Topix experience. People can post whatever they want -- even negative stuff at me. One thing I am taking too serious, especially on another thread, is this location thing in posts. You may not know this but the Topix FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) states that a poster's ISP (Internet Service Provider) city is the one that will show in a post and that city may be or may not be the same city of the poster. For example, let's say a poster's post shows Los Angeles. That city showed is supposed to be their ISP location. It doesn't necessarily mean that they are posting from or living in Los Angeles. My problem is that I don't believe my ISP's city is the one being shown. I think there is some kind of confusion in the posting system taking place for me and probally others too. In my first year of posting, my posts said a certain city. Then mid last year my posts said another city and still does. Strange thing is that all the old posts made under the old city have all changed and now say the new city too. I've posted a thread about this but can't get any oficial response from Topix to help me understand this situation. I don't hide my location but I would like to know how to make it say something different in grey posts. For safety. I probally shouldn't worry about it. And should just sign up and be green. Then I can type whatever I want the location to say.

Yeah, I remember hearing something about Obama having one. I know he was on twitter. I saw a hilarious post he wrote when Snooki found out she was pregnant. I don't remember exactly what it said but I saw it on failblog.org . You should get a Facebook, I'm really thankful for it. Most times, I need to chat with someone or just clear my head and chatting with old childhood friends is my therapy. Specially after all the s**t I've been going through. I don't know where I'd be without it... Haha.

I completely agree, I'm actually going to write an autobiography... I know, it's kind of cliché but I've lived through soooo many different experiences and I'd love to share them with the world.

That's weird, I don't really care anymore about location. I just went to the LA thing and tried to start a post. At first I wasn't even sure people could see it haha. 2 years on Topix, that's a long time. I just started like a month ago if that. I even started a blog yesterday to vent my frustrations out. Kids my generation are f**king retarded. Everywhere I go, I always see these dumb as freaks trying to act cool and such. I'm not the coolests 21 year old, in fact I'm boring. I listen to opera and drink wine whenever I get the chance. I don't go out and drink every weekend, I do it like twice a month. And when I do, I don't act stupid. I'm lame. I hope to find a girl like me. That's not into all of that pathetic lifestyle. Blahhh.
