Way to miss a story! Dumping by RVs has been going on for years, nobody does anything about it and the residents are sick of it. Last week a resident made a citizens arrest of a couple who drove and RV down her street dumping 100 gallons of raw sewage along the way. Carmen Trutanich personally promised to look into this and STILL the people responsible have not been charged.
Please ask the City Attorney WHEN these people will be charged.
Has he ever charged anyone for illegal dumping?
WHY are people still walking through pools of waste on their way to the beach?
Why hasn't the Costal Commission (or anyone) taken an interest in stopping the raw sewage flowing into the ocean?
Who is making MONEY off serving the homeless community that lives in Venice?
It looks like you just reprinted a press release from do-nothing Bill Rosendahl. He seems more interested in looking good for the press than actually doing his job. BTW, there are typos in his petition. So if residents spin their wheels getting them signed won't they be invalidated by the City? I expect more answers from the DN.

Many motor homes and travel tour coaches still have electric valves to dump their tanks on the highway when no one is around. The most famous dumping was the Dave Matthews Band driver dumping on an open grate bridge just as a boat was passing underneath. It was humorous to some at the time UNLESS you were one of those victims on the boat that got dropped on. tonyrogers.com/humor/dave_matthews

Long haul truckers have been dumping toxic waste for years along our highways a few drips at a time. If only the RVers could do it a few drops at a time, no one would be the wiser.
