Less people, more crime, much less income per capita in your poor, pathetic state. Without the Gadsden purchase, you would still be sitting in MEXICO!
Nuevo Meheeco, 5th poorest State in the union, California? 3rd WEALTHIEST!
Percentage of Mexicans?
California 38%
Nuevo Meheeco 42.5%
Enjoy your sandbox and the weather...

It sucks here in Malibu today. Nothing but peasants clogging PCH with their oil burners, and nothing but Mexicans, Jews, and Armenians walking on MY sand! No one invited them. They should all go back to their garages and chug some cerveza if they want to be cool. And no one is as cool as ME, even on the hottest of days! They only wish they could be as cool as ME, because they want to be ME, but there's only one ME, and I'M TAKEN! So if you think you're cool, just think of ME: That's all I ever do! Of course, when I'm not thinking about my hemorrhoids. But I guess that would just be the same thing. Never mind. Just go back to the stinking valley with all your stinky little littering piglets.

Not long ago, Dion, in the northern New Mexico village of Velarde, died of a drug overdose. He was 2 years old. Traces of antihistamines, alcohol, cocaine and opiates were found in his small body. Early newspaper reports suggested that Dion had come down with the flu and that his parents may have "treated" him with the drugs they knew best. His death was officially labeled a homicide, and his parents were charged with first-degree felony child abuse.

People in town were outraged, saddened and ashamed. But no one was surprised. Everyone knew about the area's drug epidemic. The small, tight-knit communities of the Espanola Valley have long been celebrated for their pastoral beauty, their folk art and their traditional way of life. But in recent years, media attention has focused on the valley's other distinction: According to national statistics, it has the highest per-capita rate of heroin-related deaths in the United States. Velarde, Nuevo Meheeco!
