PCH Chinese Restaurant between Western and Crenshaw.
PCH Chinese Restaurant is now gone... Or maybe they moved. Once the place changed owners, the chef left and so did the customers....

Oh My God....I hope the City Council knows that this will mean their ouster from office. But this final "nail in their proverbial retirement" is probably the best for everyone's best interest (save those of the council members).
You can thank Gardena's Mayor Paul Tanaka for making sure Tin Sing remained closed .... When these politicians get drunk, they sing like birds ...

Does anyone remember the name of a Chinese restaurant in Torrance? It was there in the 60's and 70's, and was on Crenshaw a block south of PCH. It was family run and mama was always at the front.

My crew and I had enjoyed many meals at Tin Sing from 1981-2008 and my family has been going since 1967. Our favorite waitresses were Debbie ('70's-'80's) Judy and Terry (90's to 2008), we miss them very much. We would always order the Hon Shu Wontons, Hom Yu,Old Style Almond Duck, Pakkai, Egg Rolls, Chicken Mun Yee Mein,Wor Wonton Mein and rice.... Mmm I am getting hungry and all I can do is have Tin Sing in my Memory! I missed them so much!!!!

My husband and I lived in Gardena,Ca. for many years. We love Tin Sing. We moved to Santa Fe Springs,Ca. in 1984. We would often drive to Gardena to enjoy your food. We especially love the Egg Rolls. If you do sell to specialty markets, it would be a great idea to sell your egg rolls. I know they would be a big hit. If you do reopen, please let know on Tin Sing Web Site.
Much Luck in what ever you decide.

Went to Fu Shing on Western near King's Hawaiian bakery. Food is good, like TIn Sing, but the service is horrible. Manager and one waiter. Small place in a strip mall. Been there several times, each time the service was slow, even with few other customers. Tonight was the last straw. The bill came back for $59. My family put in $80 and the manager comes back awhile later saying we only put in $60. Okay, I'm the most honest guy around. Everyone at the table saw we put in $80, and she gets defensive about only receiving $60. I don't cheat people. This wasn't about money, but about principle. And I got cheated tonight. I won't ever be going back Fu Shing ever again.

My family enjoyed Chin's Garden in San Pedro. They had the best egg rolls in the US. I have never found any that even came close.

Anybody know what happened to Chins?

Please, please, please, someone tell me where I can find the same food as Tin Sing made. My heart has died from their closure, not as a result of the greasy food at the end but it was worth it. No one on this planet made eggrolls, sweet and sour shrimp or shrimp fried rice the way they did. I am lost without it. Is there a replacement anywhere? Should we all pool our money together and buy the reciepes and reopen somewhere else? I get these mad cravings for Tin Sing and when I eat the crap that is out there it makes me sick to think the best Chinese food in Southern Cal is gone. Tin Sing, please come back to me. I love you.

I hope the owners of Tin Sing reads this post and know that their resturant is missed. Here is food for thought. Come to a city who will welcome you with open arms, since Gardena could not appreciate you. Your great reputation goes before you as well as any five star establishment. Compton is birthing a new city and we close to Gardena. I for one would love to patronize a new Tin Sing located in new plaza off Santa Fe. I am thinking of the oppoutunity for a land mark city parter up with a icon resturant. I dont hurt to ask. If others feel the same write about.

Happy Kitchen is close, not quit Tin Sing and no one has the same egg rolls as they did...Been closed all these years and people are still talking about Tin Sing....too bad it's now (I believe) some off the wall ins. broker or something like that...As I remember, the City said they would not put another business like that out there when they refused Tin Sins request to down size due to, I believe their parking situation.I've moved twice since growing up in Gardena but I still return for some familiar foods....Gardena Bowl, Ramonas, Burnt tortilla...long for the days of Eagles, Tin Sing and Gung Hay....

I hate thAt it closed. I loved and miss their food. I have yet to find another chinese restaurant like it. No other food compares to there's. The egg rolls and rice was thee best. I'd be happy if they opened back up. I'd follow them anywhere. :'(
