Full story: LA Daily News

Taylor Marie Moss and her Brother Christopher. Instead of late-night college parties, 19-year-old Taylor Moss preferred spending her weekends cooking pasta dinners for friends and family in Newbury Park, baby-sitting or visiting grandparents.

My heart and prayers or with this young woman's family and friends, it seems as if the innocent person is always the victim and the foolish person who decide to get behind the wheel of a car after drinking walks away uninjured, when will these idiots realize that they are putting others life in jeporady when they drive drunk.

Rest in Peace Taylor

It didn't suprise me that it was a hispanic, for some reason they think they can drink and it will have no affect on them, I have heard of so many of them taking the life of some innocent person while driving drunk, anyone who think about getting behind the wheel of a car after drinking remember, even if you think you're sober enough to drive don't do it, just think about how you would feel if some drunk driver was to injure or kill someone you love dearly, this young man get to go home to his family for the time being but this young woman who had her entire life ahead of her, family will never have the chance to see her here on earth again, may God be with her family....

Why do you quote that radical MADD corporation in your story? They consistently distort the drunk driving statistics for one thing and they are also paid off by the car manufacturing lobby. Their meddling has not reduced drunk driving fatalities one iota since their existence 20 years ago regardless of what they might tell you. As long as the State continues to license the sale of alcohol to drivers whether it be in sportsbars, stadiums, restuarants, whatever, there will be intoxicated drivers every night. It's just part of our culture and no matter how many unlucky saps get zapped by the almighty breathalyzer, people are still going to continue to be slaughtered on the highways. Sorry bout that!

Shameful! What is more shameful is that this animal is out on bail! I would say someone heading the wrong way on the freeway (at a high speed no doubt) is either a chronic alcoholic, a binger or all of the above. Do you think for one moment this person who killed an innocent child while under the influence gives a flying f*** about anyone else's life. I hope for this judge's sake he doesn't run or kill someone else pending his trial or hearing. Shame on our judges/system!
My sincere condolences to this poor family for their loss of a beautiful child that is now gone for what!

And what exactly is your point, Justice? I'll buy the fact that their statistic may be as faulty as say yours. Drunk driving may indeed be a "just a part of our culture". However, MADD is trying to change that, regardless of their effectiveness.
And why exactly do you have such a personal distain for MADD?? Nevermind, that was rhetorical.

wow thanks God nice work way to go. so this serves some divine purpose? i don't think so we control our own lives, no God controls us we are on our own to choose right and wrong when we die maybe we are back with God but while we are here we are our own God "made in his image"

fire a loaded weapon into an innocent person and it's murder, drive a 4500 pound vehicle into an innocent person and it's vehicular manslaughter. if you want to kill someone just get drunk and run them over, get a suspended sentence and go on with your life. if this were my daughter/sister/granddaughter/ neighbor/friend, i can promise you that this greasy pos would not see his day in court. he would die a slow painful death.

When I first saw the headline about this poor young girl being killed, I knew right away, without even reading the entire story that a Mexican was involved, and guess what? I was right. That's the price we pay for illegal immigration. Everyone knows they can't drive, because they're so used to riding donkeys in Mexico.

do you know why the drunk driving rate never goes down? it's because people never learn. My daughter was hit by a drunk driver and disfiguered. He had been drinking all day and decided to race another drunk driver. they need to put these drunks on a closed freeway and just let them run into one another until they're all gone. MADD,if anything, undereports how many people are killed.
