i have totally lost interest in watching the afternoon newcasts since her departure.

Mia Lee looks like a porn star from the 80's who's been beaten and thrown around a few times..that girl needs to bag her face. I don't think anything on her is what she was born with. The only reason people tuned in to watch the news was to see what ol' balloon boobs was wearing. Looking at her god-forsaken face made me feel sad that anyone (who isn't a burn victim or had serious injuries) would voluntarily do that to themselves. On one hand, the women attack and deride Mia Lee as a freaky, sleazy, inappropriate anchorwoman, while the men praise her female attributes (which has absolutely nothing to do with an anchorwoman’s job description) and praise her skills on the news show, which in her case, constitute in giggling, moving her torso to and fro, and ingratiating herself with her male coworkers.

In this particular case, the women are mostly correct and the men totally clueless. The news is the news, and sexy appearance and behavior belongs in an adult show or the local striptease joint. The sad part of this debate is that some men attribute “good looks” to a person who remotely reminds us of a human being. Let’s face it; Mia was never an attractive female. She was an ordinary looking woman. But after the surgeries, facial and chest augmentation, the poor woman is a sorry mess. I hate to think what these same men would do if they were the judges in a beauty pageant!

Even more surprising is the amount of comments this debate has garnered, but mostly due to dissension from the male and female participants. The comments mostly deal with personal attacks from one writer to another---and very little about the real issue. It would seem that these people have a lot of time to spare over such senseless, vapid argument. Please go back to your normal lives and maybe later on you’ll find a new forum with more substance to argue about. Allow Mia Lea to live her own life of fantasy and wish her luck.

I'm a man and I happen to mostly agree with you about Mia Lee and what she has done to herself via plastic surgery. She is a tragic mess. As I said in my previous comment, this topic predisposes personal attacks against each other and skips the real issue discussed in this blog. It would serve everybody’s interest to concentrate only on the topic at hand and realize that we don’t know the person behind the writing. Attempting to analyze the writer’s motives and origins defeats the purpose of joining the forum.

This being said, I want to clarify that I don’t like to label anything or anyone. In my case, I love men. I’ve always had extremely satisfying and happy relationships with them. But we must concede that there are bummers and goodies in both men and women. What I wrote in my comment referred only to those men who crusaded for Mia in the most clueless and ridiculous manner (you know who you are), certainly not “Jerry”, whom I respect and agree with 100%. Peter, I never saw read any of your comments before now. Regarding Mia Lee, it sounds likes we agree. I just would have like to seen you specifically point to the pro-Mia guys as the ones being clueless, rather than all the men, in your previous comments.

Since, for some reason, some of my longer comments have not been copied in this forum, I will make one last shorter comment though I may be doing Mia more harm than good here. Such defenders of Mia seem to bring out not only more unthinking critics of her, but name-calling against those who have defended her!

Most of the negative comments about Mia Lee have been directed at the cosmic surgeries she may have done a number of years ago. THE POINT IS THAT WHEN SHE LEFT KCAL9 SHE WAS STILL A VERY BEAUTIFUL WOMAN, MORE SO THAN MOST NEWSCASTERS ON t.v. All you critics need to do is look at some of her videos and photos over the past few years to see this. I don't see how, on this planet, one could describe her as a "freak" or a "tragic mess," or other insulting words. Her motivations for having had any plastic surgery at all may stem from a variety of sources not the least of which is the competitive nature of her job, or what was expected of her, etc.

At any rate, for the nasty comment about her being slim and with large breasts, some men find such women attractive, myself included. As was said before, beauty is, somewhat, in the eye of the beholder.

From my point of view -- and that of a few others --the attacks against Mia are unjustfied, and some just plain sick.

Stop writing all this nonsense and let sleeping dogs lie. By the way, Mia had PLASTIC surgery, not cosmic surgery, unless you are trying assert once more that she does come from another world.
True, beauty is on the eyes of the beholder, but in this case you are completely off base. I don’t believe all that cosmetic work was done due to “competitive” reasons demanded by her anchorwoman job but due to a very poor self image and very poor judgment in the choices taken in that direction. To say that she’s better looking than most anchorwomen demonstrates how off-base you are and that you must live in another planet. At least the other females on TV look like decent human beings!
I represent a lot of people(men and women) of the same thinking regarding this ”pro-Mia followers” movement, and we feel that if you live in a similar world of fantasy and make believe, you are entitled to your opinion. After all, this is a free country.

Would you take a Volkswagen and change the front end with the face of a Mercedes Benz, and declare that you are driving a high end automobile? Of course not, and neither can you take a woman (or man) without the physical necessary attributes and “convert” them into fine human specimens. In this particular case, a female with the face of a monkey and a short body. Truly, dear, no insult intended.
