This sucide-murder over financial woes is just another example of the government not caring about the people they serve. Government officials take care of themselves laviously and then as an after thought give what little is left to we the people. We need a workers revolution to bring down a corrupt government and institute a benevolent type of government such as Russia has.

Just thinning the herd. If you aren't strong enough to handle a difficult time you deseve this. I just wish the coward had left his family alone. We just went through Hurrican Ike, no power for weeks, no communication, emergency conditions, and came through with no problems. I guess they do things differently in California.

More vicitims of socialism bite the dust -- at least some "underrepresented" people got to live in homes they couldn't possibly afford for a short time. Go Obama! Give us some more socialism!

I'm not Roman Catholic, but the pope is right; the entire world's financial base is nothing more than shifting sand. If your hope is in this world's material wealth and goods, as this tragic man's apparently was, you are heading for a huge disappointment. If this crisis doesn't wipe you out, another will. Even if your treasure survives, will you live forever? Or will another spend your wealth?
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

***"I don't feel it is possible to judge whether this is justified until more facts come out and we are able to reconstruct the murderer's mind set."***

So, you think maybe he had a good reason for shooting his 19, 17 and 12-year-old kids?

This is an extremly sad event. I hope some of those responsible for the mess this country is in sees what happens when elected officials will NOT enforce regulations & allowed the lenders to shaft people into complete collaspe. Ladies Gentlemen Please start asking for some enforcement of the regulatioons that are in place instead of making more unenforced regulations. This is NOT one party or the other this is ALL Political officials hold some of the blame. Lets get those that have created this mess.

Reporters, Home owners!! start asking questions,

There will be more stories like this one. Suicide rate always go up when the economy is bad. If you are having financial heartship, please seek help. Death is not the answer.

Man, I can't believe no one is holding the President responsible for these deaths. He's blamed for everything else.

We are a spoiled nation. Too many people have grown up believing million-dollar houses,$50,000 automobiles, cable TV, cell phones, high speed internet access and eating out six night a week are necessities--entitlements. And they kept charging things they really couldn't afford on their credit cards and buying houses and cars that were out of their price range. Now the bubble has burst--which would have happened no matter who was in charge.

Finished paying off our house last year along with both cars. We have never carried credit card debt over to the next month. We actually eat at home--sometimes leftovers!!

It's time for people to start learning how to live within their means

The love of money is the root of all evil.....Store up your "tresures" in heaven where moth, rust and thieves cannot destroy them...where your tresure is there also is your heart.

Is this caused by the financial meltdown caused by the mortgage companies. If so, there is a law suit here.

Many more people will commit suicide because of this.

To "make a welfare check" simply means to check to see if anything was wrong (could have been a co-worker who called, or another relative). This has nothing to do with being on welfare, needing welfare, etc.
Jim, I am not surprise to see how people can misunderstanding the meaning of the word 'welfare'. I work for a company that does not allow walk-in sale man/woman. One day a woman came in and I said, I am sorry my company does not allow solicitors. She got so mad and starting yelling at me that she is not a prostitude and she is not taking her cloths off or doing any sexy dances. Needless to say I was speechless and I had to call security.
