Along with him will be burried the 5o something million dollars of public money squandered on the Children's Museum at Hansen Dam and all those demolished then rebuilt libraries that are rarely open.

Well, the guy is dead so shouldn't speak bad. But "Ring was a contributor to political campaigns" -- meaning he like the other fat cats developers just bought the clowncil, mayor, etc. Good riddance.

I'm sure that no one that benefitted from his giving is going to be complaining. It's the taxpayers that may feel shaken up if they knew.

All the negative comments here are from conservatives. To speak badly of a person who just died - it just goes to show how dark, cold and evil the right-wing heart is.

What! I love how you call out names to people, "conservatives" yet the "liberal" (obvious from your comment) is the the only one to state negativity from a political postion. You look silly? I would say! Grab a mirror, you are a troubled person. I am amazed that the third day of this being news the Daily News prints it, these days I look at affiliations, and where the donations (versus flowers) are encouraged is the ACLU. What have they done for you lately? On a final note, my condolences to the family, yet one has to wonder with the wealth, political power, etc, why would someone of his stature commit suicide? Is that all ok with you "LIBERAL" please get some tylenol as I think you might need it with the future comments that will follow.....

Did you say kind things about Michael Jackson? Are conservatives just people that don't approve of corruption? Are liberals just people that live high off of public money?Campaign contributions plus white collar crime equals no prosecution. That's why god invented campaign laundry.

This is why certain people are so upset that Weiss lost as City Attorney. He could be counted on to respond "properly" to campaign contributions for the City Council's pleasure. With a new City Attorney, that "no one controls" there is just a little less safety for corrupt acts and a little less reason to give campaign contributions to the local councilman.

This is the Family responsible for gouging the public out of MILLIONS of dollars for their over-priced apartments in the Marina. Land the City owns, but leased to this Family to charge outrageous rents, way over market value. Can you say "typical, nice, greedy JEWISH man"?

It's a shame that so many high profile Jews leave this impression. The Jewish community never speaks out against people like Micheal Milken, for example, but they embrace whatever financial benefit the relationship offers. The Jews should publicly refuse financial gifts that come to them under unsavory circumstances. I hope that would be enough to show more good will to the public. They can continue to try to stifle the expression of public distaste for Jews, but, I believe, it would be far better to improve their image.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Sagittarius

There's work to be done. Even though it might seem overwhelming, there's a lot to be gained from doing Level One, or routine physical tasks. When your body is preoccupied and very little mental input is required, your mind is free to roam. Do one thing at a time, and you're assured of complete success in all your projects and undertakings today. Your health is not as good as it could be, at the moment. Consider a cleansing diet.
