Hope that selfish driver making his own express lane on the shoulder is wracked with guilt. Certainly, nothing he/she was driving to then was worth this. Too many drivers on the 405 think they can make their own rules. Better to be safe and late, than fast and reckless.
The "selfish" driver was a 19 year old kid who was sick. He passed out behind the wheel. He wasn't making his own express lane.

They'll say whatever they can to glorify a cop.

To AAA:

LOS ANGELES -- A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer who was critically injured in an accident on Interstate 405 in Los Angeles two weeks ago has died...

Witnesses told investigators that a car traveling on the shoulder that tried to pass slower traffic suddenly came upon the stopped motorcycle and SUV.

The car crashed into the officer, shoving him and his motorcycle forward into the stopped SUV, pinning him in the wreckage until rescuers extricated him.

What's your information source? Getting sick and passing out behind the wheel after you realize you've possibly injured and/or murdered innocent bystanders because traffic wasn't going fast enough to suit you doesn't mean you are innocent.

Yeah they will. This kid isn't going to get charged with murder. To bad the cop died, but it could of happened to anyone! We all get sick and we all drive while were sick. To bad for ths kid that he passed out behind the wheel. I like how the writer didn't say that when AMR showed up he was still passed out behind the wheel. When he got to hospital his drug and alcohol test were negative, but anything to make a cop look good.

I would love to see an article or something where this is mentioned to provide support for your claim, since this is the first I've heard of this.

Well you'll be waiting for a long time!! The author of this article wrote this without all the facts. So why don't you take your negative opinions and stick them up your @$$.
Support you "facts", cause as of right now.. every reporter, everywhere, has the facts wrong.

Please provide your reference material to enlighten everyone that's got the story wrong.

And, thanks for the advice - however after pulling the negativity out of my awesome @$$.... I still hope this Jerk off goes down!

if you are driving while so sick that you pass out, you are being negligent and can still be tried for manslaughter. same goes for driving under the influence of prescription meds, passing out from being too tired and even passing out from low blood sugar level. you are not supposed to operate a motor vehicle if you are impaired at all. i dont think he will get off scott free, especially since there was an officer fatality. someone always has to pay in these circumstances...

If he was sick, what is he doing driving a car. You can't put the car on auto pilot. That's a bunch of BS about being sick. His lawyer told him to say that.

was it really a 19 year old in an infiniti? i had to wait til i was 37 to afford to buy my own...
