"Lawmakers moved to eliminate a fingerprinting requirement for food stamp recipients. The practice was put in place to prevent fraud, but supporters of a repeal described it as too expensive and unneeded because of other existing protections.
Democrats cited a state audit that estimated the cost of fingerprinting for next year alone at $17 million, which the lawmakers deemed excessive. Most Republicans voted no, reasoning that striking the fingerprinting requirement would be an invitation to fraud. But the measure, AB 6, passed the Assembly."
Casinos, Strip Clubs, Cruiseships, Jamaica get ready for more business from recipients with their EBT cards.

What else is new? This measure is to ensure illegals qualifies without going thru the fingerprint process.

I like your new avatar.
We get what we pay for - or what we allow others to BUY for us. In this case; a libtard government in a state with the lowest credit rating out of the 50 and no recovery in sight.
Fraud and waste. We can't afford the fraud and waste we already have; not the Socialists in Sacramento are authorizing more.
Who's going to pay for it when the taxpayers and Union Retirees move to more affordable climates? And it's a sure bet - those retirees who 'earned' their pensions in California sure as he!! won't be spending it here.
I guess the only ones left will be the politicians. While in office; they can't move out of state. Their incomes will get taxed (unless they vote themselves exemptions. Like the exemptions Obama gave to his supporters - union, mainly - with Obamacare).
I ask every Liberal I come across the following statement - and NONE can come up with a rebuttal. Are they scared? Did I hit them with too much reality for them to process? Or are they simply doing what all Socialists do when confronted with a fact - ignore it if it doesn't fit in with their illusion.
Here's the statement:
'When the well runs dry, EVERYBODY goes thirsty'.
Nobody's ever countered that. Ever. Even when I clarify and point out that the well is the potential tax base, the water is the money. If there's no money; how're ya gonna pay those bills?
No answer. It's beyond their comprehension.
