It's also a real word. Look it up. Or, for those who have lost the ability to use an analog dictionary, you can Google it.

I wonder....
How would you feel if, 100 years ago - 50 years ago, your forebears thought the same as you and YOU were stuck footing the bill? Forget that it didn't happen; what IF?
You'd hate yourself right now. But of course; you wouldn't be there to worry about it.
Uhhhh, it took years for taxpayers to pay of the debts run up by our government during the Great Depression, World War 2, Korea, and Vietnam! What else is new?

So you're one of those 'kick the can down the road' people; you don't care 'cause it doesn't affect you.
Maintain the status quo and being a 'follower' instead of being a 'leader' and putting a stop to it.
This 'same-old same-old' can't go on forever. Sooner rather than later it's going to hit the wall and explode.
It will happen in your lifetime; it's happening now. The concern now it - how hard will it it? Hard enough to cause repairable damage and result in strengthening and reinforcing so that it results in a more durable economic standing that will maintain this country well into the NEXT century? Or hard enough to completely destroy what it was and make restoration so difficult, time consuming and unrealistically expensive that America's poor and middle class (the bulk of our citizenry) live no better than today's Third World nations - the current 'rich' have their holdings devalued to match what might be considered 'Middle Class' today.....
And the political 'elite' that you and your union supporters have such blind faith in are the only ones whose lifestyles and benefits are untouched.
You wind up with a society exactly replicating that of the Soviet Union. The 'party' had the vacation homes; extravagant vacations to foreign lands; the chauffered limousines and the decadent products of the west.
While the 'people' stood in line for toilet paper and black bread - rationed.
There are more ways to debase a populace than through political manipulation. Manipulating the economy to where the money is virtually worthless and credit is unattainable and unrepayable is another.
If that's what you want - fine. But it's not what I want. Not for myself - and not for my children. I want them to have BETTER than I have; and I am working to help ensure that - teaching them the value of work and the rewards that are earned. So their lives are better than mine. That is the responsibility of the parent. To nurture the next generation. Not condemn it to servitude.
My way is the way of the United States as envisioned by it's founders.
Your way - Hitler's. Stalin's. Mao's. Control and condemnation to slavery.
Lincoln (a Republican) freed the black slaves. His policies for the South was to ensure that no man would ever become the property of another. That each human being had the right to be his own master and to reap the rewards of his own hard work.
Forget that this meant he deprived the Confederacy of 'property'. Humans are NOBODY's property.
You Liberals and your Unions want to change that; this time instead of slavery being a racial issue; it's now a class issue.
You want to be the 'ruling' class; you, your unions and that Organizer you elected to office in 2008.
It's not working. The majority of this nation is too smart for that. We see what you're doing.
And we're putting a stop to it.
Wisconsin.
That's just the start.

Well, that rant of yours made my head spin because you're all over the map with your anger. Your world is far different than mine because my adult children have succeeded more than I did and I succeeded more than my father. In fact, each generation in my family has succeeded going back to the early 1700's. Maybe it's not in your genes. By the way, I'm a Republican.

"If" you had children or grand children you might object to ridiculously expensive public employee pay and pension scams??? Why should the next generations of Californians be saddled with the most expensive pension sweetheart deals in American history just so democrat politicians can pay unions back for campaign support??????

What kind of monster WOULDN'T object to that travesty?

An on-duty firefighter took a hazardous materials truck — and its crew — to his child’s Pop Warner football game when he was supposed to be working.
The firefighters, assigned to Irvine, attended the game in Costa Mesa. The presence of their lumbering rig gave pause to some other parents, who complained that it was, er, parked in a fire lane.

“On Saturday, October lst, we hosted teams from Rancho Santa Margarita at Jim Scott Stadium,” wrote Chris Cox, president of Costa Mesa Pop Warner, in a letter that made its way to the chief of the Orange County Fire Authority.

“From approximately 3pm to 7pm, an Orange County Fire Authority Truck was parked in a fire lane at the stadium, causing players and fans to have to go around it to get to the stadium. Needless to say, it was annoying, and I received several complaints. I am hoping you could make sure this doesn’t happen again.

If many more of our rich flee the state,(taking their tax dollars with them), and more illegals with no money come here,(and pay almost no taxes), the the great pensions all these public employees are counting on won't be paid anyway.

There is no way to raise a lot of money from poor people.

Whenever the people who owe you money don't have it, you loose. That's always been true in this country.

I have no problem with kicking the debt forward! I have a great deal of confidence that in 30 or 40 years, America will probably be so prosperous that future generations will not even notice the few extra bucks on their tax bills. You idiots with all of your doom and gloom predictions, are just laughable.

You just don't get tired of trying to fight the inevitable, to you? You need to accept reality, Sparky. Your labor union is nearly obsolete because taxpayers are sick of your extortion. You're going to have to also accept that market forces will dictate what you earn. I suspect that will be slighty over minimum wage given that most fire personnel work for free. All the sweet benefits that you wrangled out of the puppet politicians that your unions bought off will soon be gone, because your illegal contracts will be null-n-void because they weren't negotiated in good faith and because the public treasuries are been bankrupted by your greed, incompetence, and fraud. No more double overtime pay while you pick up a burger at In-n-Out, I'm afraid. No more retiring at age 45 with a fake disability claim. It's all going away ... a new reality has set in.

Time for you to stand up and be a man rather than a part of a gang of thugs. You'll need to negotiate your own terms like other men do in the private sector. You'll need to answer for your failures. I know that panics you -- but everyone has to grow up sometimes, Smokey.
