Too bad the residents don't make the city cleanup the streets by paving the potholes along PCH. That is more important than this nonsense.

>>"Harbor Division vice Sgt. David Burris said the operation, along with newspaper publicity, might result in scaring potential johns away and drive the area's real hookers elsewhere. "<<

Drive the hookers away? So it becomes someone else's problem? It looks like they just want to put a band aid on the problem until it's time for another sting...and the cycle continues.

How about fighting all the asian human trafficing massage parlors in Torrance. One on every corner, next to schools and homes. Someone needs to do something and shut these place down too. Taking a few Johns off the street at a considerable cost of tax payer money does nothing.

We love mumbo jumbo. Why fix the street, if we can be having fun.

And WHO could make "the city" do anything,
when that part of the city is sound asleep?
They did not even notice the murder in the park.

that is so messed up, isnt it better that some
horn dog be able to buy some leg than have some innocent young girl get raped. all this undercover
setting people up that are getting arrested for paying to have a little fun is totally stupid,
isnt there anything more serious that the cops
should be doing. cops are so stupid. hopefully when some illegal rapes their wife or sodomises
their daughter they will wake up instead of
remaining the stupid idiots that they are.

Do YOU think the community actually cares?
There is no **community** left,
only confused and helpless people.
And our non-profits,
who obediently support the higher ups.

I'm so torn on this issue...and the analyzing would take too long for this DB forum.

With that said - there is so much of a double standard with our government. They won't tell women what to do with their pregnant bodies, but they feel the right to tell them what to do with their bodies in regard to sex!?!

There is often an argument made that there is always some disparity between the "dominant better off" man and the "pitied, poor" woman. But what about the handicapped man? The very unattractive man? The very poor man?

With that said, I wouldn't want this across the street from my house either, but the article should have left out the "scantily clad" comment.....visit the mall on any given day and you'd see more skin!

Easy money for the police department. Meanwhile, real crimes are being comitted and there is no police to respond because the cops are too busy chasing hookers and their customers who were a danger to the life and health of the neighborhood.

So what's next for the police, busting church bingo games?

So then why don't you do something about it, rather than spend taxpayer money on cops chasing their tails. There are real crimes of violence that need to be dealt with here in L.A., let's not tie the police up with calls about nonsense.

You ought to see the talent walking to the local high school... They look like they are practicing to ply their trade on PCH.

Man you are stoopid. The vice cops did the sting. Not the burglary cops or the homicide cops or the patrol cops. The vice cops' full time job is stopping this type of crime. Yes, other crime was happening in the city while this was going on, but it was handled by other cops.

to avoid arrest ask them if they will let you take nude pictures of them for money. nothing illegal about that, if they say no or push it beyond that point then they are cops.

once again, citizens are saved from consenting adults having sex with one another by our valiant PD. SO GLAD our tax dollars are being spent in such an intelligent and valuable manner, while gangbangers murder and pillage at will.

Somebody know that dude arrested in the white religious jumpsuit with the BMX bike? Hard to get a real date like that. A real prostitute would be providing a necessary service!

It's a good start.

HC and Lomita along that stretch of PCH has become a dump and full of drugs sales and worse.

Maybe the cops should focus more on controling the gang influence and crime in the area vs. hassling a bunch of hookers. As if "the problem" will go away.

As for those parents who were worried what their kids see maybe they should monitor what their kids see on TV or the internet? A whole lot worse than what they see on the street.

You cannot fix stupid I guess?
