.

This is a person who strives for the betterment of his
career and keeps up the effort along with hard work.

If your listening David Rodriguez...

This is what you also should be going after. Staying
back and fighting @ the same class of fighters as you
started your career. El Paso has grown tired of the
game your promoter promotes.

What happened? I remember when Fernie Morales was fighting. He was fighting tough fights. Look at the records of all of his apponents, and look at the records of this guys apponents, BIG difference. I still think that Morales is the best fighter to come out of El Paso.

Escalante lost me when he went off the wall and challenged Oscar to a fight, Geez what is wrong with the dude. If you ask me Escalante is a has been who left El Paso when he was good, so as far as I am concerned he does not deserve my support. Regarding el Matorito, he stayed in El Paso and gave all he had and is still giving to El Paso. He is the Best! He had heart and a Love for El Paso and the sport of boxing that has not been matched!

Wow, i was also thinking that it was lazcano but now that you set us staright i know that the article is talking about a kid that can't take a punch. I think he took too long to announce and try a comeback. To me he does not have the chin or the confidence to be able to successfully make a comeback, unless he is thinking of fighting a bunch of wimps. By the way I agree that Fernie is the best El Paso has produced and it will be hard for anybody to top him.

Tony you had a good trainer in Louie Burke. In the De Leon fight he kept telling you to move to your left and you couldn't do it to save your life. Your defense is your heel. What you are looking for is not outside of El Paso. You need some better defense and footwork, and learn some straight punches for cryin out loud.

Fernie Morales had a great boxing career. He fought fighters who were in their prime and was able to stand toe to toe with them. He fell short of his dream, but left a great legacy. Today Fernie works with troubled youth. He's even better at that then when he was fighting world class fighters. Fernie had a great boxing career, but has had a better career as a human being serving his fellow man. My hat is off to you Fernie. Congrats.

I agree with what most of you are saying. Morales was a lot better than Tony ever will be. Tony has no chance at 130, Mikey Garcia and the rest of the 126 pounders will kill Tony right now. Now you move up to avoid them but 130 is a strong division as well. What you need to do is try to go back to school and learn a trade. And you did talk a lot of smack about Mr. Felix. David might not have fought anyone yet but he's still in the running to be the first real World Champ. And you've talked a lot of smack about him as well, maybe you can fight him. One of you is getting knocked out
