Emboldened by months of phone calls to lawmakers, hunger strikes and sit-ins, a group of college students and graduates in Los Angeles say they plan to take their fight for immigrant rights to the states and the 2012 election after Senate Republicans blocked a key piece of legislation.

Battling the forces of hatred and prejudice is never easy. If the students fighting this can persevere, their character and resolve will only grow stronger, and one day they'll succeed.

Take the fight to the states and make the petulant Republicans and Democrats who blocked this pay at the polls.

How? The "students" are illegal and can't vote.

Your pep rally is going nowhere.

If these trash wish to spend so much time supporting foreign criminal scum, perhaps they should be expelled so that serious students can take their place.

Of course it's California students who are finding something else to get attention because without a protest, they just shut up and get stoned and hardly pay attention to what's happening in America.

But just a little infomericial here: we don't have to have sit-ins, hunger strikes, etc. to get our message to the representatives from our own states. Surely they know by now they need to listen to us as they did in the DREAM vote yesterday.

Limited Legal Immigration is fine. Amnesty for millions is not. If the Act had been well written by the Backers to address ONLY the Students with verification processes, no eligibility for Federally Funded programs and a Degree required with no Chain migration/reparations, and Border Security and ICE enforcement it would have passed. It is unreasonable and unrealistic to expect total surrender to ILLEGAL Foreign Nationals because their numbers are out of the stratosphere. It will not happen. If they supported Immigration enforcement and Legal Immigration. Yes. ILLEGALS are not Immigrants they are Felons.

See that's the difference. They want to live in America not be American. When the Vietnamese were brought over here in the 70's by the Feds. they were required to learn English and integrate into Society. None of this press 2 for Spanish stuff. That's what really gets me. American's are called RACIST because we expect you to blend into the Society and function as an American. No other group of Foreign Nationals has been accommodated to this extreme. That is why they are the true RACISTS they just want to live here period. They want the benefits and rights but DO NOT want to be AMERICAN, they want it to be like Central and South America an corrupt, anything goes political system and Society. I don't think it will fly here. We have a pretty good country if we can keep the criminals and RACISTS out.

it's like taking an assault rifle to a duel with a man armed with a stick.
it's a TOTAL waste of time and effort trying to reason with that imbecile...anyone that doesn't agree with his far left ideology is, in his small mind, either a "hater" a "bigot" or, a "racist" ... it's the ONLY debate he seems capable of.

funny blame the republicans when the democrats did not want to pass this. They could have passed this long time ago without a single republican and not a dam thing republicans could have done to stop them. But Democrats didn't want to vote on it a year ago...My theory is democrats waited till now cause they didn't want this to pass because the majority of the country don't want this. But now they can blame republicans....

Really? Who said anything about illegals voting?

Activists can organize and lobby for their cause. Anybody can work for a friendly candidate, or work to oppose their foes. And there are plenty of Hispanic citizens who will not look kindly on anti Hispanic conservatives/Republicans, and will vote accordingly.

Correction: Not everyone who disagrees with me is a hater, a bigot, or a racist.

But YOU Carey, YOU are a hater. You are a bigot. YOU are a racist. You demonstrate it regularly.

I'm sorry if it makes you feel bad, but you won't feel better about yourself unless you knock it off.

They were up to their a$$es in alligators for a year on the Obamacare bill. And they had absolutely no clue they'd give up a majority in the House and several seats in the Senate this year. Pelosi, Reid & Co. were so arrogant they believed they could push this one through this year without a problem and had no idea its only chance would be during a lame duck session. They can blame whomever they want, but the truth is it was the American citizens and voters who made the difference. We're a bit more engaged than we have been in 20 years!

Will you left wingers stop describing us as anti-Hispanic? We're anti-illegals, no matter what their heritage, race, color or nationality. Are you people so dense that you really don't get that? Or are you just judging us by your own low standards?

I have a better idea, Turn all the decimated land that the Hollow Souls are responsible for and turn them back into lush green lawn like they were prior to their arrival. Ttat along with asking their preacher to have many sermans on the subject of adding value as they go and why. Next, open the LaRasa concept up to the same and denounce all their leadership that speaks of entitlement only.
