I think all this fires are men set, there are to many fires
almost nation wide going on, they should put more rangers
to investigate and see if they can catch somebody in the
act or they are going to burn the whole united states, not
all those fires can start off by thamselves, somebody is
doing bad with all this fires, pretty soon it will be some-
thing else, somebody should really check it out.

There are comments on kobtv.com indicating that they suspect arson, with multiple fires breaking out simultaneously along NM 4. Please use your heads, folks !

Thank you for the link to Kobtv.com . I have been trying to find a New Mexico news site that actually has statewide news on it. Kobtv.com is a breath of fresh air, Koat.com is absolutely worthless - yet it wins all the awards.

Then you have the picture of pink moron in the paper yesterday saying "popping fireworks is a tradition". Use your head fatso...there is a reason why fireworks are banned.

If you have not spent time looking at this Web site yet, take a look at their live traffic updates - http://www.kob.com/article/10714/ . One can move throughout the state with a mouse and click on the movie camera icons on the page and actually look through the camera and get a view of what is going on.

Sadly, the Las Cruces camera available for viewing hasn't refreshed since 6/23/2011 and and still shows a night view. It seems the only cameras the City of Las Cruces is interested in presenting are the money-making Redflex cameras. Wouldn't it be great if the Mayor or one one of the Councilors took the time to add a few additional cameras to those available for viewing so that Las Crucens and others could view areas in our city too?

you are correct that there is a reason why fireworks are banned. it is not because of safety issues, it is because of control issues. at least get your argument right.

you might be correct in that these fires are man made. having conceded that to you, i ask you to show me even one of these fires that was started by using fireworks.

what's crazy is all the firework stands all over town, unless we get some heavy rain befoe the 4th of July I think all fireworks must be banned! especially here in NM. we're going to end up burning all of our homes in the southwest!
