Rio Arriba where the old west still exist. I still think they need someone with a law degree. But maybe he can borrow Rodella 's DVD!

Regarding the Rio Arriba Judge appointment- its very sad to read the above comments. Give this young man a chance. He is willing to take this job and make a difference. He comes from good family.

Maybe he's taking the job because it'll pay a lot more than he's making as a Sgt! Plus, it shows he has 20 years on the force so he's eligible for retirement. This will greatly enhance his PERA retirement.

I have read this comments and the more I think of this appointment- we as honest people must support this appointment and give our blessings. We older honest people started from the bottom and we believe there are still honest people. Good luck to Joe and if you don't know the answer- go to smart and honest judges-there still out there somewhere.

Is he the one who has to be driven to work because his driver's license was revoked for DWI?

Being one of those older folks I too used to think the same. But I guess with age I've become cynical given the way people are now.

It used to be a man gave his word and that was all that was needed, or a firm handshake. Not any longer.
