I was hesistant to rent from Ray Roberts Realty after reading these reviews but i could not pass on the chance of living in belmont shore. I have a good idea of what slum lords are, and they are far from that! I love my apartment and have no probelms with the company. So far so good!

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS REALTY COMPANY! No matter how nice the place that you're looking to move into is, it is not worth it. I have never had so many problems with a realty company. I've been a renter for several years, and have never had a problem with the leasing office. We pay all of our bills on time, are considerate and cordial. I should have known Ray Roberts would be trouble when I was inquiring about their property and they we're rude and unhelpful. Zero customer service, or respect for their tenants for that matter. This is the first complaint I've ever written on Yelp, but I feel like people should be warned about businesses such as these. They do not care about their tenants what so ever. To them you are dollar signs, and they will be as rude and undercutting as they can to get you to pay for EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. I've read the other reviews on here and they are all accurate. Mark Roberts is the absolute worst. I don't know how you can run a company backstabbing and lying your way into making people pay you more money. I met with him at their office and he verbally told me I would not have to pay for something because it wasn't my fault, and then I received a voice mail a week later about owing them money. When I called to inquire about the amount, he basically said that he knew he had told me I wouldn't have to pay, but I didn't have it in writing so they changed their minds and were now charging me. It is not the money that troubles me, it is the fact that one human being, a business man no less, can have so little consideration for the people who make up his paycheck. He knows when he has the advantage and he will take it! If they seem like they are being nice and doing you a favor so that you will move in GET IT IN WRITING.

My job decided to transfer me from San Diego to Los Alamitos city with a two week notice, i was stressing out because most management companies dont do any showings on the weekends and luckily i came across Ray Roberts Realty and scheduled a Saturda morning appointment for the apartment i was interested, they were very helpful and honest with me. A week went by recieved a call that i was approved, mailed out the deposit and moved in just in time for my new job. thank you RRR staff.

The most dishonest company I've ever dealt with. They showed me an apartment I liked and had me put in the application. They ran my credit(score 743) along with my co-applicant and charged us $60 for credit check. After two days a lady from their office called and said the owner has rented the apt. and that I chose another apt on their web site. They did not have an equivalent apt. in the area so I demanded my money back as they did not have an apt for me to rent. They behaved very rudely and refused to refund the fee saying they could have many applicants for one apt at a time, run their credit for a fee and then pick the best tenant. I do not see how this can be done with a clear conscience, especially when they do not inform you of this at the time of application. I left their office telling them that I will take them to court and sure enough I receive a letter from them giving me an entirely different reason for their refusal saying that my application was denied based in whole or in part upon information contained in a consumer credit report. THEY HAD NOT DENIED MY APPLICATION AND HAD OFFERED ME TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER APARTMENT ON THEIR WEB SITE. Would you do business with such people? I WILL NOT.

I am a college student moving out of my parents house for the first time to be closer to school. I found a great little spot about a mile from school and it was perfect! I was afriad I wouldn't get approved on my own but luckily Ray Roberts Realty let me apply with a co-signer. The process took about 3 days which is fastr than most places i applied to! I was so relieved i was approved! Working with them was a breeze! I would definetly recommend them!

I was going through a nasty divorce and had to leave my home asap. My credit was not the cleanest after my divrce so i was afraid every rental place would deny me. Ray Roberts Realty was the first place i applied to. I was in love with the town house and was setting myself up for disappointment. The company understood my situation and offered me the option of applying with a co-signer. After 3 days i recieved a wonderful call that i was approved with my cosigner! I am so thankful! The company has and is a pleasure to work with!

I was one of their tenants not to long ago and had to move from my perfect apartment in LB, but now (a few months) later I am not satisfied with my current landlord and have re-applied to become a tenant at one of their new buildings. I'm crossing my fingers, hopefully it works out.

RRR is a pleasure to work with! They manage my home and my apartment complex and handle everything efficiently and proffesionally. A small management fee is worth every penny to not be receiving phone calls from tenants. Their frequent communication and monthly reports help me rest easy at night.

I haven't rented with them yet, my review is based strictly on the customer service I've received so far from the staff & the leasing agent that showed me the place. The staff is pleasant when I call. They are quick and responsive through email or calls. I appreciate how they took time to answer all my questions as i am picky! They seem to be honest and upfront about things, which is important when you're looking for a good place. I would def. recommend them!

Worst landords I've ever had. This company is extremely unprofessional. Every phone call ends in an arguement, I've been treated unnecessarily rude when I call to ask a question of any sort. They are stubborn without explaination, inflexible (even when offered money to cover costs), and horrible communicators. The wait time to fix things is 4-6 business days or they will just tell you that you have to fix it yourself. I can't wait to move out!
