puts on a fireworks show and then doesn't provide parking...forcing people into the neighborhoods. We have a ton of people parking on our quiet streets, cul-de-sacs and walking 5 blocks to the park. Stupid. Don't spend the money on a celebration if you can't provide parking. Why block off Foster Rd. from Santa Gertrudes to LM Blvd.? Who are the morons running the city?

Oh come on it's once a year!!! Learn to expect it. People love it and it's fun. And by the way, where exactly would you like them to provide parking?

Where they always have...on Foster Road. Did you miss where I said the City put up barriers so they couldn't park in the red? Usually they cover the no parking signs. Ask the school district to open the high school lots. Plan for parking if they throw a party. I doubt anyone parked in the La Pluma neighborhood and walked to the park and then left their trash all over your streets.

If you don't like it then don't participate. It's painted red for a reason, cars have not been allowed to park in the red for years.

Wrong. They covered all the no parking signs on Foster and let people park on the entire street from Santa Gertrudes to LM Blvd.
Participate? Get a clue! I was in my home with people tromping to the park and back, leaving litter in the streets. Duh to the City again for sending out the street sweepers YESTERDAY.
No one thinks in City Hall. It's like they're on their own planet.

Cry me a river. The firework show was awesome. If you don't like LM, then move.

You don't like what I have to say, don't read it. And duh...I can see the "awesome" 8 minute show from my patio. Have for over 30 years. You wish you could.

I think the City leaders use it as motivation to run off the well mannered, well parented white families in the neighborhood. Make residents feel unsafe and uncomfortable in their own homes like in illegal and gang infested LA.

As a matter of fact, I do park there every year and don't mind the walk and YES, those streets were crowded as well. Getting there earlier may solve your problem; don't worry about the rest of us.

They also had parking at Biola and shuttle service to and from the park. And yes I did walk from the La Pluma neighborhood along with all the other cars of people that filled the neighborhood and the elementary school parking lot!! Allowing parking in the red would not open up that much extra parking. If you don't like it plan to be out that evening. You got a whole year to find something else to do July 3, 2013.

I do the walk to the park faster to walk a mile than getting stuck in that traffic.

Vote NO, let the city learn how to tighten it's belt like the rest of us.

How about the city cleaning up our yards and streets AFTER everyone leaves? What about having the police break up the drunk fights in front of our homes????? I dont mind sharing but I do mind all the rude jerks, the messes they leave behind and there are more rude people every single year!

Heaven forbid, it's once a year. Someone is sounding a bit grouchy. Most of those drunks that night are your neighbors and their teens. If you hate it that much, take a vacation; I guarantee by the time u come home it will look like nothing happened.

Sure...leave your home while drunks roam the neighborhood because it's "just once a year". Of course when you come back, your home might be trashed. This place is full of ridiculous expressed thoughts from morons. And instead of levying a city sales tax, Robinson and company should cancel the 10 minute fireworks show. Not worth the money. Then the drunks can go to Norwalk and hang out there.
