Red State Dem Steve Beshear Busts the Media’s Anti-Obamacare BS By Predicting 2014 Win
Red state Democratic governor Steve Beshear turned the media narrative about ObamaCare upside down and spanked it, telling Greg Sargent that ObamaCare is going to be a winner for Democrats in November of 2014, in a red state or not.
The Washington Post’s Greg Sargent interviewed Governor Steve Beshear (D-KY), one of the few Democrats who seems to understand the goldmine that ObamaCare offers Dems this election if they know what to do with it.
Beshear told Sargent “We’re doing the right thing. That’s the most important point here. The people of America, and the people of Kentucky, deserve access to affordable health care. For the first time in the history of this country, we have a tool that allows us to accomplish this goal.”
Beshear continued on, explaining what we have been saying at Politicus ever since Republicans started their ObamaCare fear-mongering,“This issue is going to look a lot different in November 2014 than it looks today. By November 2014, these exchanges will be working smoothly, and the world will not have come to an end… Right now some are afraid because of misinformation. By November they will know it’s not going to do anything to them.”
Beshear went so far as to make the bold claim that ObamaCare is a winner for Democrats, telling Sargent,“In general this issue is going to be a winner for Democrats by November of 2014 — whether you’re in a red state or a blue state.”
This is hardly his first powerful defense of the President’s healthcare reform. In August of last year, Beshear refused to buy into the Republican fear-mongering and instead, turned it around and made such a compelling argument for it that he left Senator Rand Paul and Senator Mitch McConnell reeling.

Obamacare is a monstrous fiasco.
Americans have lost their health insurance policies, full time work, their family doctors while paying higher deductibles and higher premiums.
Now add insult to injury with complaints that get ignored.

The Insiders: Obamacare – The incompetence and denials keep coming
Two stories converge today to illuminate how the White House and the Democratic establishment are attempting to hide the next wave of Obamacare failures. Both Post stories reveal how the president and Democratic leaders at the state level are hiding problems with Obamacare instead of confronting and fixing problems.
First, Amy Goldstein of The Post reveals that the appeals process guaranteed in the Obamacare law does not actually exist. The story outlines an almost comical process that requires citizens who seek a fair hearing to have an innocent, HealthCare.gov -generated mistake corrected to fill out a seven-page paper form that is then inexplicably shipped to Kentucky, where it is entered into a government database that isn’t actually connected to anything. It’s a digital dead end for those who dare to complain.
Next, The Post’s Jenna Johnson and Mary Pat Flaherty outline how Maryland state officials are trying to block an investigation into the debacle of the state health insurance exchange Web site, which has been plagued with operational problems since day one. Some Democratic officials — including Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown, who is running for governor — don’t want a full investigation because such an investigation could have a negative impact on the upcoming state elections for Democrats.

Gowdy, Jordan, Chaffetz Press AG on President’s IRS Comments
Reps. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) today sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder regarding the President’s comments claiming not a "smidgen of corruption" at the IRS, despite an ongoing criminal investigation.
Text of the letter:
February 5, 2014
The Honorable Eric Holder
U.S. Department of Justice
950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20530
Dear Attorney General Holder:
We are writing you today to inquire about the President’s recent comments regarding the criminal investigation into the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS’s) treatment of taxpayers applying for nonprofit status for their organizations based on political persuasion.
In May of 2013, President Obama said he would not tolerate partisan targeting and vowed to “make sure that we find out exactly what happened” at the IRS. Since this situation came to light, we have received very little information on the Department of Justice’s criminal investigation. You testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on January 29, 2014, that the investigation is open and still proceeding, and criminal charges are still possible, noting,“All the options are on the table, given the fact that there has not been a determination either to bring charges or to decline the case.”
Additionally, on January 30, Deputy Attorney General James Cole sent a letter to Representative Jim Jordan refusing to allow any Department employees to testify before Congress because of the on-going nature of the investigation, stating it is the commitment of the Department to avoid
“… any perception that our law enforcement efforts are subject to undue influence from elected officials. Our disclosure of non-public information about this pending investigation would be inconsistent with this long-standing policy and could undermine judicial confidence in the independence of the criminal justice process.”
In contrast to these statements, on Sunday, February 2, the President stated there is “not a smidgen of corruption” at the IRS regarding this targeting, despite the fact the investigation, to the best of our knowledge and according to your recent testimony, is not complete. We hope you can restore our confidence that the investigation into the IRS will be thorough and not swayed by any political biases.
In that vein, we are hoping you can answer several questions:
1) If the IRS investigation is “ongoing,” and there has been no determination as to whether criminal charges will be brought, how does the President know there is no criminality?
2) Is the President being briefed on the investigation while it is ongoing?
3) Can Congress be briefed on the status of the investigation and preliminary findings through a bipartisan, bicameral briefing?
Thank you in advance for your prompt response.

Obamacare is going to cost 2.5 million US jobs.

Do you think Obama will lose any sleep over this mans death? Never in a million years. Would Obama lose sleep over a canceled family vacation? YOU BETCHA!
Remember Bill Elliot? He is the guy with cancer that had his plan canceled due to Obamacare regulations but because of his pre-existing condition the $1500 monthly cost of OBAMACARE is too much for him to pay- he wants to spare his family the expensive burden and let nature take its course...
He has Stage 4 cancer, without treatment his outcome is grim to say the least.
He announced this week that the IRS is auditing him.
Speak out against the Führer and you will pay- even if it is with your life.

Eric Holder said this man has suffered enough. Now he has to deal with living as a woman. Eric Holder, under Obama's orders is going to have all charges dropped and see to it that Obamacare covers his sex change operation.

Nancy Pelosi, 2010:
“This bill…will create 4 million jobs, 400,000 almost immediately.”
Congressional Budget Office, 2014:
Obamacare will "will cost the nation the equivalent of 2.5 million workers in the next decade"
PjMedia.com , February 4, 2014
At the New Editor, Tom Elia does something that’s very unfair. He quotes a Democrat accurately. Whenever you do that — as the Dallas Morning News is finding out lately by reporting on Wendy Davis’ dishonesty — Democrats attack you and call you names.
Four years ago, in February 2010, then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) made a promise about Obamacare, the law that she and her fellow Democrats were poised to pass and make law.
Pelosi said “This bill…will create 4 million jobs, 400,000 almost immediately.”
But the Congressional Budget Office said today that Obamacare is likely to kill 2.5 million jobs, while slowing overall economic growth over the next decade.
So Pelosi was only off by 6.5 million jobs.

The CBO did NOT state that Obamacare "will cost us 2 million jobs."
That is a lie almost as big as death panels.
Directly from the report:
"CBO estimates that the ACA will reduce the total number of hours worked, on net, by about 1.5 percent to 2.0 percent during the period from 2017 to 2024, almost entirely because workers will choose to supply less labor — given the new taxes and other incentives they will face and the financial benefits some will receive.”
CHOOSE TO SUPPLY less labor. That means that the benefits provided by the ACA will create an opportunity for many workers to work LESS. They won't have to take a minimum wage job or work overtime just to pay for healthcare.
Keep up the lies though, they only make these dumb tea baggers look even DUMBER.

Keystone XL Jobs Lie
If it receives approval from both the State Department and the White House, the proposed Keystone XL pipeline would ship dirty tar sands oil from Alberta, Canada, down to the Gulf of Mexico to be shipped overseas. Not real oil but the waste from crude oil that nobody wants.
After years of claims by Republicans that the proposed Keystone XL pipeline would “create tens of thousands of jobs,” we now have some hard numbers on that, at least from the U.S. State Department, if you choose to believe them.
Last year, while pushing for the KXL, House Speaker John Boehner released a statement claiming that the pipeline “will create over 20,000 direct jobs and 100,000 indirect jobs.” On Friday, as the State Department released its “Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement” on the project, Boehner once again released a statement reiterating his previous claim that the pipeline would bring “more than 100,000 jobs.”
The trouble is, that’s not true. At least according to the actual State Department report, which was the occasion for Boehner’s Friday statement
In other news Tom Corbett raises gasoline tax 9 cents a gallon as of jan 1, 2014, then another 9 cents a gallon on jan 1 ,2015, then another 12 centsa gallon on jan 1, 2016.......now back to the Benghazi scandal

Now, you are welcome to disagree with the CBO numbers, or Carney’s or Kessler’s or our interpretation of them.(As usual, you don’t need to simply trust us. We’ve given you the links to the actual reports. Read them and decide for yourself.) You are welcome to think it’s an outrage that people might choose to work less when they are ill, because they don’t have to keep working in order to pay for healthcare. You are welcome to hate Obamacare all you like and demand its complete repeal, just as you are welcome to call for the approval of the Keystone XL pipeline, if you like the idea of shipping the world’s dirtiest fossil fuel product across a continent of drinking water in order to ship gas to China.
But when you’ve got to lie, repeatedly, about demonstrable, independently verifiable facts, then you are not a legitimate advocate that deserves to be taken seriously.
The Republican Party has given up on advocating seriously for whatever policy positions they believe in. They are far past that, and have now simply taken to lying in hopes of scamming Americans into voting for them and buying into their policies.
That is not the earmark of a serious policymaking organization, and it is for that reason that we — sadly — no longer regard the Republican Party as a legitimate political body.
That’s not good for America or for Democrats, for that matter. But it just happens to be the sad truth.
#55954 Feb 6, 2014
It's no longer the "Republican" party. It's the Social Darwinist Party. That explains everything.
Boehner - Social Darwinist
Ted Cruz - Social Darwinist
Eric Cantor - Social Darwinist
Paul Ryan - Social Darwinist
Mitch McConnell - Social Darwinist
Rand Paul will be running for president in a few months on the Social Darwinist Presidential Ticket.

Barack Hussein Obama's 'pen and phone' threats to circumvent Congress and his history of enforcing only those laws he likes makes meaningless any assurances regarding immigration.
He's earned his reputation as a liar. "If you like your health care plan you can keep your health care plan."
WashingtonPost.com , February 3
How Obamacare killed immigration reform
Barack Obama has all but conceded his lame-duck status. His State of the Union address was bereft of big ideas. And his declaration that he will use his “pen and a phone” to issue a raft of executive orders is an admission of political impotence — a presidency reduced to small-ball initiatives like creating “myRA” savings accounts and raising the minimum wage for federal contractors.
The one exception — his one last shot at a major legislative achievement — was comprehensive immigration reform. But that isn’t happening either.
And the reason can be summed up in one word: Obamacare.
“Comprehensive” is Washington-speak for “big.” And in the wake of the Obamacare debacle, no one is interested in anything big from Barack Obama.
“I try to focus not on the fumbles but on the next plan,” Obama said this weekend. But when you fumble as spectacularly as the president did with Obamacare, people don’t trust your next plan.

More lies, just like the "CBO reports Obamacare to cost 2.3 million jobs." And the death panels. It's also plagiarism, because this article didn't appear in the Washington Post. How hard is it to link to your articles? They're all either lies or from Tea Bagger Monthly.
