African-Americans & Obamacare Death Panels
December 28, 2013
...The Pew Poll (see above) shows that 61% of African-Americans want doctors to “do everything possible to save their lives” when experiencing “a disease with no hope of improvement” and “in a great deal of pain.” So do 55% of Hispanics.
But one of Obamacare’s primary purposes is cost control, which will prevent “everything possible” from being done to extend life through cost/benefit treatment guidelines, insurance regulations, health care rationing, and/or futile care impositions forcing removal of treatment. Obamacarians want the right to coerce, not just educate and persuade.
Such Obamacare death panels could well shatter African-American and Hispanic strong political support for liberal agenda items generally. Even if not, it will be very hard to retain their support for the Obamacare technocracy when members see loved ones denied care that they and their family want. So too, I think, the broader community. That’s why the death panel charge cuts so deeply.

Liberal Semantics and the Redefining of Death Panels
November 30, 2013
...Now, the very people who welcomed alternate meanings of the word "is" and embraced the term "fetus" are outraged that an "independent payment advisory board" is being vilified by the right even though its function is to decide which lifesaving treatments will be paid for and which ones, because of cost, a chronic condition, and/or advanced age, will be denied.
Liberal semanticists bristle at the thought that anyone would dare to suggest that a Barack Obama-appointed review board would hand over sick Americans to a Liverpool-style "die with dignity" Care Pathway merely because, for example, a patient is too elderly to justify spending otherwise better allocated funds on a pacemaker.
Then along comes TIME Magazine's senior political analyst, Mark Halperin. In an appearance on The Steve Malzberg radio show, Mark ratcheted up the debate when he matter-of-factly stated that cost-control rationing, aka death panels, are built into the ACA. Like Palin, Halperin, who has since toned down his original comments, avoided semantics and plainly said, "It's not like a guess or like a judgment." Death panels are "going to be part of how costs are controlled."
Since more than one person has now made the "death panel" accusation, Americans are becoming increasingly apprehensive that Barack Obama, who has lied about everything having to do with his signature legislation, is also being disingenuous about health care rationing.

The Truth-O-Meter Says:

Under Barack Obama's health care proposal, "if you've got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it."

It remains to be seen whether Obama's plan will actually be able to achieve the cost savings it promises for the health care system. But people who want to keep their current insurance should be able to do that under Obama's plan.

His description of his plan is accurate, and we rate his statement True.

Right - Politifact rated the statement true before they labeled it a lie. In fact they they also rated it "mostly true" TWICE before they labeled it a lie.

And the President's was just as true then as it is now. The only thing that changed was Politifact and their caving to pressure to appear more balanced (since the vast majority of their ratings of lies are from conservative sources).

We can’t count on PolitiFact to even admit it was wrong tells you everything you need to know about the group. One wag on Twitter once described PolitiFact as “60 percent true,” because “Politi” is 60 percent of the letters in “PolitiFact.” PolitiFact’s Obamacare flip-flop—coming after two presidential elections in which the group came to Obama’s defense—tells you one, or both, of two things:(1) PolitiFact doesn’t know what it’s doing when it comes to evaluating the truthfulness of claims regarding health policy; and/or (2) PolitiFact bears a left-wing bias that sought to downplay unflattering aspects of the President’s health-care plan during election years.

Pants On Fire: PolitiFact Tries To Hide That It Rated 'True' in 2008 Obamacare's 'Keep Your Health Plan' Promise

On December 12, the self-appointed guardians of truth and justice at PolitiFact named President Obama’s infamous promise—that “if you like your health care plan, you can keep it”—its 2013 “Lie of the Year.” An understandable choice. But in its article detailing why the President’s promise was a lie, PolitiFact neglected to mention an essential detail. In 2008, at a critical point in the presidential campaign, PolitiFact rated the “keep your plan” promise as “True.” The whole episode, and PolitiFact’s misleading behavior throughout, tells us a lot about the troubled state of “fact-checking” journalism

PolitiFact is an embarrassment to the world of fact-checking, let alone to the world of prediction-checking to which it actually belongs. Their 2008 Pulitzer Prize—prominently mentioned on every PolitiFact web page—owes itself in part to the group’s lazy and inaccurate reporting on Obamacare. If PolitiFact were intellectually honest, it would acknowledge that it was undeserving of that prize, reflect on how its work has gone astray, and focus in the future on actual fact-checking instead of prediction-checking.

Here’s my prediction: they won’t. And that’s all you need to know about the epistemological legitimacy of PolitiFact.

Congratulations to President Obama.
He keeps racking up victories, and now has been named winner of the Lie of the Year award.
Oops, so sorry. Being No. 1 isn’t always a good thing.
Then again, the sponsor of the award, PolitiFact, understated the president’s great skill at bending the arc of truth.
The fact-checkers called Obama’s claim that “if you like your health-care plan, you can keep it” the biggest whopper of 2013,
and 59 percent of its mostly liberal readers agreed.

Still confusing running around the bottom of the mountain with reaching the top. And we'll always have the lie of the year - nobody actually takes it seriously when they hear uneducated white trash talk about meeting with our Muslim president's death panels even though Iraq was behind 9/11 and cutting taxes for the rich creates jobs.

During the 3-1/2 years of World War 2 that started with the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor in December 1941 and ended with the Surrender of Germany and Japan in 1945, the U.S. produced 22 aircraft carriers, 8 battleships, 48 cruisers, 349 destroyers, 420 destroyer escorts, 203 submarines, 34 million tons of merchant ships, 100,000 fighter aircraft, 98,000 bombers, 24,000 transport aircraft, 58,000 training aircraft, 93,000 tanks, 257,000 artillery pieces, 105,000 mortars, 3,000,000 machine guns, and 2,500,000 military trucks.
We put 16.1 million men in uniform in the various armed services, invaded Africa, invaded Sicily and Italy, won the battle for the Atlantic, planned and executed D-Day, marched across the Pacific and Europe, developed the atomic bomb and ultimately conquered Japan and Germany.

It's worth noting, that during the almost exact amount of time, the Obama administration couldn't build a functioning web site.

TOP STORY FOR 2014, from reliable sources. ROMNEY AND EASU IN.

Top American tax dodgers will be exposed and charged of tax fraud and tax evasion. The government has accumulated a trove of information from foreign banks and governments about big fat American tax dodgers and is preparing a list of top offenders to bring to justice. The list INCLUDES Romney and Darrel Esau, among others from all political and economic background. The question is not whether but when, and the parade of charges could pick up speed before the 2016 elections.
