George Bush has claimed he was on a mission from God when he launched the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, according to a senior Palestinian politician in an interview to be broadcast by the BBC later this month.
Mr Bush revealed the extent of his religious fervour when he met a Palestinian delegation during the Israeli-Palestinian summit at the Egpytian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, four months after the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.

One of the delegates, Nabil Shaath, who was Palestinian foreign minister at the time, said: "President Bush said to all of us:'I am driven with a mission from God'. God would tell me,'George go and fight these terrorists in Afghanistan'. And I did. And then God would tell me 'George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq'. And I did."

Either GW Bush was on acid when God told him about bombing Iraq or Donald Rumsfeld was whispering in George's ear while he was asleep.....we will never
know

Bush spent 1027 days of his presidency on vacation. About 3 years out of his 8. Obama has spent 97 in 5 years. Nice try, dumb tea bagger. Vacations. Hilarious. I know how you hate facts - they're never on your side.

Now watch this drive...

Why wouldn't the teabagger father let his 12-year old daughter smoke at the table?
It would be a bad influence on her kids.

The Republican Party is essentially dead and irrelevant. Even backing Romney to win was a piece of nonsense. Now in 2013 they have nobody who van beat Hillary in 2016 and 2020 but they will continue to control Congress until their support just dies of old age.

Think of all the good things the GOP has done for the American people during the last six years.
Less than zero support for the middle class? √
Sabotage our nations recovery? √
Admit that women are to be treated as chattel? √
Push the notion that the founding fathers wanted a "Christian Faith" based nation? √
Tax breaks for those with money enough for a thousand years of easy living? √
Suppress voters right. √
There's your answer to what a Romney administration would look like. More of the same that brought the USA down.

Cheney's Halliburton Made $39.5 Billion on Iraq WarBy Angelo Young, International Business Times

20 March 13

he accounting of the financial cost of the nearly decade-long Iraq War will go on for years, but a recent analysis has shed light on the companies that made money off the war by providing support services as the privatization of what were former U.S. military operations rose to unprecedented levels.

Private or publicly listed firms received at least $138 billion of U.S. taxpayer money for government contracts for services that included providing private security, building infrastructure and feeding the troops.

Ten contractors received 52 percent of the funds, according to an analysis by the Financial Times that was published Tuesday.

The No. 1 recipient?

Houston-based energy-focused engineering and construction firm KBR, Inc.(NYSE:KBR), which was spun off from its parent, oilfield services provider Halliburton Co.(NYSE:HAL), in 2007.

The company was given $39.5 billion in Iraq-related contracts over the past decade, with many of the deals given without any bidding from competing firms, such as a $568-million contract renewal in 2010 to provide housing, meals, water and bathroom services to soldiers, a deal that led to a Justice Department lawsuit over alleged kickbacks, as reported by Bloomberg.

Who were Nos. 2 and 3?

Agility Logistics (KSE:AGLTY) of Kuwait and the state-owned Kuwait Petroleum Corp. Together, these firms garnered $13.5 billion of U.S. contracts.

As private enterprise entered the war zone at unprecedented levels, the amount of corruption ballooned, even if most contractors performed their duties as expected.

According to the bipartisan Commission on Wartime Contracting in Iraq and Afghanistan, the level of corruption by defense contractors may be as high as $60 billion. Disciplined soldiers that would traditionally do many of the tasks are commissioned by private and publicly listed companies.

Bush Cronies Profit from War in Iraq While Our Soldiers Die Every Day

More disturbing news from Iraq: Now United Nations auditors are complaining the Bush administration is holding back information concerning more than $1 billion in reconstruction contracts awarded to several well-connected American firms without competitive bidding.

The complaints come from the International Advisory and Monitoring Board -- a bookkeeping creation of the UN Security Council that includes members from the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. The board was set up to make sure Iraq's oil revenue would be handled in proper fashion throughout the American occupation.

How the Bush Family Makes a Killing from George's Presidency
Halliburton scored almost $1.2 billion in revenue from contracts related to Iraq in the third quarter of 2006, leading one analyst to comment: "Iraq was better than expected... Overall, there is nothing really to question or be skeptical about. I think the results are very good."

Very good indeed. An estimated 655,000 dead Iraqis, over 3,000 dead coalition troops, billions stolen from Iraq's coffers, a country battered by civil war - but Halliburton turned a profit, so the results are very good.

Very good certainly for Vice President Dick Cheney, who resigned from Halliburton in 2000 with a $33.7 million retirement package (not bad for roughly four years of work). In a stunning conflict of interest, Cheney still holds 50,000 stock options in the company. Why pursue diplomacy when you can rake in a personal fortune from war?

Yet Cheney isn't the only one who has benefited from the Bush administration's destructive policies. The Bush family has done quite nicely too
