The only reason the markets are doing better is that we keep printing money like there's no tomorrow. Once that stops, say byebye to all those gains.
The markets have been artificially inflated and will fail.
Unemployment is still stagnant and GDP growth is pitiful at best. If these numbers were better, then the action in the market would be real, but it isn't.
Think about that.
Oh, who had control of Congress for two years prior to the collapse...the Dems.

Republicans do not govern. They have no intention of governing. Government is nothing but a money making tool for them and their friends. In lieu of good governance they continually chase one contrived "scandal" after another. In almost every case the allegations prove to be false, but they don't care because they aren't out to actually "serve justice" on someone for something they themselves have done repeatedly. They are only out to manipulate the media cycle through the elections. And the media fall for it every single time because the media doesn't care about the truth. The media only cares about ratings. It's a vicious circle that has destroyed our government.

NSA collecting phone records of millions of Verizon customers daily
Exclusive: Top secret court order requiring Verizon to hand over all call data shows scale of domestic surveillance under Obama
The National Security Agency is currently collecting the telephone records of millions of US customers of Verizon, one of America's largest telecoms providers, under a top secret court order issued in April.
The order, a copy of which has been obtained by the Guardian, requires Verizon on an "ongoing, daily basis" to give the NSA information on all telephone calls in its systems, both within the US and between the US and other countries.
The document shows for the first time that under the Obama administration the communication records of millions of US citizens are being collected indiscriminately and in bulk – regardless of whether they are suspected of any wrongdoing.

Lindsey Graham [R]‘glad’ NSA tracking phones

Frequent critic of the White House Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is defending the National Security Agency’s reported collection of millions of Americans’ phone calls, saying he’s more concerned about terrorism.

“I’m glad the NSA is trying to find out what the terrorists are up to overseas and in our country,” Graham said Thursday morning on “Fox & Friends.”

As a customer of Verizon, the subject of the court order, Graham said he and others had nothing to worry about.

“I’m a Verizon customer. I don’t mind Verizon turning over records to the government if the government is going to make sure that they try to match up a known terrorist phone with somebody in the United States. I don’t think you’re talking to the terrorists. I know you’re not. I know I’m not. So we don’t have anything to worry about.”

And Graham assured the hosts that the surveillance was limited to terrorism.

The NSA warrantless surveillance controversy (AKA "Warrantless Wiretapping") concerns surveillance of persons within the United States during the collection of foreign intelligence by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) as part of the war on terror. Under this program, referred to by the Bush administration as the "terrorist surveillance program",[1] part of the broader President's Surveillance Program, the NSA was authorized by executive order to monitor, without search warrants, the phone calls, Internet activity (Web, e-mail, etc.), text messaging, and other communication involving any party believed by the NSA to be outside the U.S., even if the other end of the communication lies within the U.S. Critics, however, claimed that it was in an effort to attempt to silence critics of the Bush Administration and their handling of several hot button issues during its tenure. Under public pressure, the Bush administration ceased the warrantless wiretapping program in January 2007 and returned review of surveillance to the FISA court

NY Times Editorial: Administration Has 'Lost All Credibility'
The New York Times editorial board, which twice endorsed President Obama and has championed many planks of his agenda, on Thursday turned on the president over the government's mass collection of phone data -- saying the administration has 'lost all credibility.'

After 9/11, Congress passed the Patriot Act, which gives the President broad powers to fight terrorism.

The left reacted with outrage.

In 2006 the nation learned that the Bush administration was bypassing the FISA courts and had total, unsupervised access to America's phone and internet communications.

The left reacted with outrage.

In 2008, Congress passed the FISA Amendment which required the monitoring of US telecommunications to have warrants and go through a court review.

The left reacted with outrage.

This week we learned that this legal monitoring of US telecommunications continues.

The left and the right are both reacting with outrage.

So up until now, only the left was concerned about this issue.

What changed that suddenly got the right on board?

Anybody read this?

----------

NSA has massive database of Americans' phone calls

By Leslie Cauley, USA TODAY

The National Security Agency has been secretly collecting the phone call records of tens of millions of Americans, using data provided by AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth, people with direct knowledge of the arrangement told USA TODAY.

The NSA program reaches into homes and businesses across the nation by amassing information about the calls of ordinary Americans — most of whom aren't suspected of any crime. This program does not involve the NSA listening to or recording conversations. But the spy agency is using the data to analyze calling patterns in an effort to detect terrorist activity, sources said in separate interviews.

Outrageous, huh?

That was published on May 11, 2006. SEVEN YEARS AGO!

Where was the outrage, rightwingers?

Where were your calls for impeachment?

Obviously you all were totally cool with this same practice seven years ago. Why all the outrage today? What's changed?
