Why Climate Deniers Have No Scientific Credibility - In One Pie Chart
I searched the Web of Science for peer-reviewed scientific articles published between 1 January 1991 and 9 November 2012 that have the keyword phrases "global warming" or "global climate change." The search produced 13,950 articles.
...
24 of the 13,950 articles, 0.17% or 1 in 581, clearly reject global warming or endorse a cause other than CO2 emissions for observed warming.
----------
24 of 13,950 peer-reviewed scientific articles.
So, sure you can list 15 names. BFD.
That doesn't change the fact that there is that nearly 100% of all scientists agree that the earth is warming and that human activities are the cause.
So, when you fools ban all usage of fossil fuels and the Earth still becomes warmer (or colder) because of solar activity, who will you blame?

When it's due to solar activity, we'll blame the sun.

But when it's due to the activities of humans, we blame the humans.

See, that's what rational, intelligent people who believe in science do - we blame the thing that actually causes the phenomenon instead of denying objective, verifiable reality.

As to global warming,in the winter of '76-'77,climate experts were warning of a new iceage.in the 1400's 99.9% of scientists were sure the earth was flat and the sun revolved around the earth. The earth has been thru warming and cooling cycles for millions of years. At one time there were palm trees in Greenland,at another there were glaciers in Mexico.Manmade global warming? We may contribute, but cause it? There may be consensus on the THEORY,but not on it as a fact.

In the 1970s there were a few articles saying the world was cooling based on some cooling from pollution in the atmosphere. It was not the consensus of 99% of climate scientists based on broad, comprehensive, overwhelming evidence like we have today.

Any "scientists" who believed the earth was flat and the sun revolved around the earth abandoned that belief in the face of evidence disproving it. Within several decades, no scientists believed that anymore.

The earth has warmed and cooled in the past due to natural events. The scientific evidence shows that. That doesn't change that the scientific evidence today shows that it's warming due to the actions of humans.

Getting hung up on the word "theory" reveals your ignorance of science. Man-made global warming is as close to a fact as you get in science.

"as CLOSE to a fact AS YOU GET in SCIENCE." I was educated to believe that science was about proven facts, not CLOSE TO A FACT.

Definitions of Fact, Theory, and Law in Scientific Work

Science uses specialized terms that have different meanings than everyday usage. These definitions correspond to the way scientists typically use these terms in the context of their work. Note, especially, that the meaning of “theory” in science is different than the meaning of “theory” in everyday conversation.

- Fact: In science, an observation that has been repeatedly confirmed and for all practical purposes is accepted as “true.” Truth in science, however, is never final and what is accepted as a fact today may be modified or even discarded tomorrow.

- Hypothesis: A tentative statement about the natural world leading to deductions that can be tested. If the deductions are verified, the hypothesis is provisionally corroborated. If the deductions are incorrect, the original hypothesis is proved false and must be abandoned or modified. Hypotheses can be used to build more complex inferences and explanations.

- Law: A descriptive generalization about how some aspect of the natural world behaves under stated circumstances.

- Theory: In science, a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that can incorporate facts, laws, inferences, and tested hypotheses.

But knock yourself out if this is of critical importance to you.
It is of importance to me. After the new budget was put into place last year in PA and all the funding for programs that helped out the needy and those in poverty had to be cut almost to nothing, while the programs and funding going to those in bed with The Governor and republican interest all staid in tact and got more funding. Now to also use a web based tax payer funded website to spread republican propaganda and a agenda is unlawful and makes me sick. I would be just as sick if a Independent or democrat was doing the same. It is the principle that matters to me, not the bi-partisan bullshit.

Still just a theory, albeit a widely accepted one.Much like the Big Bang THEORY.I'm not disagreeing with your theory, just pointing out that it's not proven FACT.and it's still not Jack Wagner's fault.

Do you hold similar doubts about the THEORY of gravity?

In science, a theory is the highest form of proof you can get.

If you look at the personal data section of the unemployment website, the email address is clearly listed as "optional."

You can go in and delete the email address any time you want.

Stop bitching and delete the address if you don't want the messages.
