The GOP is embarrassed by and have totally turned their backs on Romney, but just a short time ago they were saying he was the best choice to be the most powerful man on Earth. What hypocrites.
GEE! Talk about throwing your own kind to the wolves.

A little more than two weeks after the election, Mitt Romney has not so much vanished as been rendered a camp object—an electoral oddity, like a button from a last-century race with the name of a defeated Vice-Presidential candidate you can hardly remember learning (Charles W. Fairbanks, John W. Bricker). There has been no decent interval for him and his campaign, no gap between rejection and ridiculousness. By this time, four years ago, John McCain and Barack Obama had sat down and talked in an office building in Chicago, and released a joint statement about working together. That didn’t quite happen, but McCain never really stopped talking, or even—as in the past couple of weeks as he has pushed and pushed, beyond credibility, his complaints about Benghazi and Susan Rice—stopped shouting.

No one seems to care what Mitt Romney has to say about Susan Rice. The main concern of people in the Republican Party for which he was a standard-bearer seems to be that he still plays any role at all. He embarrasses them. If he has a presence in the Party now it is an awkward penumbra. Even his moment in the headlines last week, when he was heard talking about how Obama had bought the loyalty of women, minorities, and young people with “gifts,” was as a disembodied voice. He didn’t even get to show his face when insulting the electorate. Republicans “don’t need to be saying stupid things,” Bobby Jindal, the governor of Louisiana, said in response. The implication seems to be that they really don’t need Romney to do anything at all.

There are other things that embarrass Republicans. Romney’s get-out-the-vote app didn’t work. He really thought he would win, and was unprepared when he didn’t. The same is true of a lot of Republicans, though. And we haven’t even got to the tell-all campaign-memoir stage yet, where we get to hear what made Paul Ryan sulk or Ann Romney mad.

But at a certain point, how embarrassed are you allowed to be at the candidate your own party nominated, and hailed, and whose worst gaffes—including the “gifts” line—are clumsy expressions of your actual policies? At a certain point, you can’t treat the electorate like visitors at a theme park who can pretend that as long as the giant mouse (or elephant) is smiling at them everything will be all right.

“When you’re in a hole, stop digging. He keeps digging,” Lindsay Graham said of Romney, on “Meet the Press.”“We’re in a death spiral with Hispanic voters because of rhetoric around immigration. And candidate Romney, in the primary, dug the hole deeper.” He wasn’t a lone figure with a shovel; there was a whole big-donor-powered earth-mover working with him. But that, now, is the G.O.P.’s problem, not his. While Graham and others are working on their death spiral, Romney seems happily fascinated by the twirling of Luigi’s Magic Tires. And it’s better that he is.

Has anyone this week been seeking out Mitt Romney’s views on the Gaza crisis? Have there been calls to put him on a plane and have him sit down with Benjamin Netanyahu or Mohamed Morsi, and sort things out? Hillary Clinton handled that instead, and we seem to have a ceasefire, while the urgent questions about Romney have been whether that was really him, photographed blurrily, pumping his own gas, or what he and Ann thought of Jacob imprinting on Renesmee in the new “Twilight” movie—which they saw over the weekend—and which vampire coven reminded them most of the Republican primary field. Last month, Romney was talking about the near-psychic bond he had with Netanyahu; that may have been nice for them, but it hardly seems to matter anymore to anyone else. By the time there was a ceasefire deal, on Wednesday, the Romney radar was alive to his trip to Disneyland with his wife and grandchildren, according to reports sourced back to park visitors who tweeted pictures. Has a candidate ever shifted so swiftly and unceremoniously from the realm of the auto bailout to that of Luigi’s Flying Tires? Looking at the pictures of Ann and Mitt sitting in the sun at the center of one of said tires, right where a hubcap should be, the tricky thing isn’t dispelling the idea that it was all a Photoshop hoax, but instead trying to imagine them anywhere else, like in the White House, or even on a stage in Ohio.

Every dollar of the $2.6 trillion in surplus Social Security revenue has been spent by the government on wars and other government programs. The money is gone. It does not exist in the form of cash, bonds, or anything else. You can only spend money one time so, since it was all spent, there was nothing to invest. The money was replaced with government IOUs which serve as an accounting record of how much Social Security money was spent. But the IOUs are not marketable and cannot be converted into cash. So why is the government and the media continuing to say that Social Security has a $2.6 trillion surplus and can pay full Social Security benefits until 2037? All that Social Security really has at this time is the inflowing revenue stream from the payroll tax, and that stream is no longer large enough to pay full benefits. If the government had saved and invested the surplus money in pre-existing marketable Treasury bonds, as it was supposed to do, the trust fund would today contain $2.6 trillion in “good-as-gold” marketable Treasury bonds which could be resold in the open market to raise cash with which to pay benefits. But the government did not save any of the money. Why doesn't the government publicly acknowledge the awful truth about the trust fund?

i couldnt open the link. so i will assume it shows every adm. b4 obama took office and the break downs of large sums of money to organizations and countries that hate us. ok, like i said before ,i dont like either party and the fact remains that obama is in charge now and authorized millions to hamas who want to destroy us.

just because every adm did it b4 does not make it right that obama adm. continues the policies to waste our money on people who would rather kill us than look at us. i dont just blame obama i blame the entire congress who votes to piss our money away to people who want to destroy me and you.

and yes take care of americans first.

Federal Spending Grew Nearly 12 Times Faster than Median Income:

When federal spending grows faster than Americans' paychecks, the burden of government on taxpayers becomes greater. Over the past four decades, median-income Americans' earnings have risen only 24 percent, while spending has increased 288 percent.

And this was all done by all those giveaways by Obama..........

U.S. Has the Highest Corporate Tax Rate:

High federal and state corporate tax rates make it difficult for U.S. headquartered businesses to compete internationally. U.S. rates have been consistently higher than the average of industrialized nations. In April 2012, Japan reduced its corporate tax rate to 36.8 percent, making the U.S. total corporate tax rate the highest.

Federal Spending per Household Is Skyrocketing:

The federal government is spending more per household than ever before. Since 1965, spending per household has grown by 152 percent, from $11,900 in 1965 to $30,015 in 2012. From 2012 to 2022, it is projected to rise to $34,602—a 15 percent increase.

Not at all Obama is another puppet, the controlled implosion of the economy is by design, these banks want all of our wealth. Look at Greece - it is their beta test - and Spain.

We 'borrow' the Federal Reserve Bank's fairy tale currency and they steal our land/gold/oil/labor and anything else of real substance they can grab. We get left having to repay an impossible debt.

Austerity coming to America soon.

Since 1965, spending has risen constantly. While federal revenues are recovering from the recent recession, spending is growing sharply, resulting in four consecutive years of deficits exceeding $1 trillion.

THE UNITED STATES IS THE only remaining industrialized country without some form of universal access to medical services, in part because policy debates are driven by false, selfdefeating beliefs. One such belief is that the United States cannot afford to cover the uninsured, when in fact a coordinated financing system is the key tool for holding costs down, and there are affordable ways to do it.1 Even the largest employers are unable to hold major cost drivers in check.

A second belief, held by the medical profession, is that they would lose still more power than they have already under corporate managed care. Yet universal health care systems elsewhere give the profession greater institutional powers.

Third, many believe that the only alternative to voluntary, market-based health insurance is a single-payer system financed by tax revenues, when there are a number of options.

Fourth, many believe that the United States is so large and diverse that any lessons one might learn from smaller and less diverse countries do not apply here, so why bother with possible lessons from anywhere else?

Finally, conservative policymakers and providers imagine that a universal health care system would mean low salaries, rundown facilities, poor quality, and endless waits to see a doctor, as with the British National Health Service (NHS). In US policy debates, the NHS serves as a dreary image of everything we want to avoid and might get if we actually developed a universal system that was equitable and efficient. US journalists almost never describe its remarkable achievements or its innovative and instructive reforms. One wonders, then, why any sensible reader should waste time on an article about the NHS.
