Dwight is a very talented professional who works extremely hard. I am confident that he will commit to bringing our Clerk's office out of the stone age instead of merely continuing the status quo.

I don't get it??? Dwight is not the Clerk, his opponent is the one currently in that office??? Or are you just engaging in fatuous drivel?

We need fresh new blood. A vote for Filitreau sets us back 40 years.

I disagree, a vote for Filatereau does not set us back- it merely prolongs the 40 year drought. When are the people of Nelson County going to get it? They are living in a world of "if you're friendly and nice then you must be doing it right" A lot of the votes come from the elderly and that is why Elaine has done good so far- Phyllis and her are OLD and their fan base grew up with them. We need someone whom can be just as accomodating and maybe just a little bit up to date. Vote for Dwight.

I want to see the office go in a new direction. Elaine will continue in the same path as it has been for years.

Dwight is what Nelson county needs. If you want change vote Dwight he is a constant professional, trustworthy and understands customer service. Having known Dwight personally for over 5 years I would let my kids stay at his house or let him run my county clerks office. Please vote Dwight not someone who retired a long time ago - how many pention incomes does Elaine get?

I am voting for Newton. I didn't like the way Phyllis solicited Elaine F to take her place and over look the other girls working in that office. I thought that was in very poor taste. Phyllis won that election for Elaine by campaigning out of her office. That is illegal. If you want more of the same vote Elaine if not vote Newtown. I think they need a man in that office.

She has the most experience, and she can lead the way, and she grew up here and raised her family here. Newton can not say that.

The best thing you can say is she grew up here? That is the best reason you have for supporting her? Get a life! The woman is 69 years old!!!!! What modern knowledge could she possibly have? That is one major problem with this county is someone is better because they grew up here. That is a total joke!!

The current Clerk's office:

Has people taking smoke breaks every few minutes;
Has poor face-to-face customer service;
Is stuck technologically in the 1950's;
Refuses to spend budgeted monies on technological upgrades;
Requires everyone to come to Bardstown rather than serve the other outlying communities;
Has absolutely no advertising or communication;
Cost the taxpayers $490,000 in the library fiasco over miscommunication issues;
Can't catch something as simple as party registration on a candidates voter registration, further costing the taxpayers money;
Has a Clerk that deliberately sandbagged other employees to favor the current employee-candidate;
Allows illegal campaigning to be done out of that office;
Has a current employee-candidate whom has promised the status quo and at 69 years of age has told the newspaper she "is holding on until the next candidate takes office." She has relied solely upon the support of the current Clerk and brings her around to every event, which is sad.

Voters have an opportunity here to elect someone young, talented, friendly, professional, and from the outside, with no agenda. To me, the choice is obvious.
