Marion county high school has a link on their page to Report a Bully. But yet when somebody reports the bully they don't get in trouble. How is this? Because Marion County doesn't care about people getting bullied and would rather let them commit suicide.

Let's say that boy and girl break up. Boy goes out with new girl. Now the new girl is the biggest slut in ten counties. At least according to the ex girlfriend. Ex girlfriend decides to try and get even and goes to the principal and says that she is being bullied by this new girl. If you were the principal what would you do? Before you answer, understand that you know nothing about any of this. Just that you have a report of bullying. Now, fix it

There should have been a bully law back in 08. Schools like to "protect their own" anymore and its a shame! unless your on a football team or any good sport expect to get bullied! The schools will protect the players at all cost, even if it comes to a student harming themselves or killing themselves because the schools lack of protection of our kids. And if your faced with your child or yourself being bullied by "players" expect the school to do everything possible to hide what really happened and make up a story on your child instead.

It is a shame the way atheletes are allowed to get away with anything. When I was there I was never bullied but saw it go on alot and the majority of the time it was by an atheletes. The get this super star treatment like they are something special and allowed to do what they want when they want and to whoever they want. The teachers and administration will never admit it bc they are the ones responsible for allowing it. It does nothing but give these students a worldview in which they can do whatever they want. To prove my point 4 out the 5 starters on the basketball team my senior year are now in jail. They thought they could do whatever they want like they did in high school and that didn't go over when they got in the real world.

Can you give us some specific examples of how this is still happening?

I can't bc I'm no longer there. But it seems that there are people that are there that see it happening. And honestly I doubt things have changed much. The best example I can remember from my time there was that the best football player in the school constantly picked on another guy. One day he finally stood up for himself and a fight started (the football player threw the first punch) and when it was said and done the guy that got picked on got suspended for 5 days and was in isd for a month and the football player got nothing. It was football season and if he got suspended he wouldn't have been able to play.

4 years ago someone I know was bullied by players in the football team. He can't speak for himself now because he's no longer here! He was pushed so hard everyday by those people til he ended his own life. The bullies was reported many times and nothing was ever done. Everything was covered up back then just like it sound like it is now. RIP Cody, your memory lives on!

u can blame coach robb and hall for all of it. they promote that type of behavior daily, i thought it would end with cody but sadly things haven't changed.

Defiantely a sad situation. They obviously don't learn from their mistakes. And honestly what do you expect. The administration lets the coaches get away with anything and everything and the players see that. They come to learn that as long as they are an athlete they do as they please which contributed to the bullying. They see themselves as being above the system. And which in many ways they are bc the administration allows it. I'm not here to say that all bullying is done by atheletes and that all atheletes are bully's either.
