"We're not doing a lot except keeping people warm," Angell said.

If one is cold, keeping warm means a lot.

Expect many 'snow babies' come next November.

That's when you slow it down to an over necessary crawl to give yourself giant clear zone ahead of yourself. If the egit behind you understands his actions are making the situation hazardous after a few minutes, you can increase your mph to see if he lets back. Repeat as necessary and try not to laugh if he tries to pass and slides off into a snow bank. Patience is key.

Come Valentine's day, the body shops will be swamped.

not suprising in the least.
given that.. there are several of us who know how to drive in this situation and are actually prepared with snow chains or similar equipment. I was shocked at how people were just flooring the gas pedal with a confused shocked look on their faces. Laugh out Loud!

You cannot expect the brainless uneducated masses here in this area to comply with any requests. They do not have the ability to comprehend.

So the City staff goes and hides out in their nice safe little nests. Limited road crews on probably what was one of the worst driving days in the last decade. Nice job to the new City Administration - I bet Johnson was at home cuddling with his wife keeping warm. Nice to know our local government will handle an emergency like this.

Hell, it wasn't nearly bad enough to even need chains, just brains. These morons can't drive on dry pavement, why should we be surprised?
