BB guns do not make a loud popping noise as claimed. I bet he had an assault rifle designed to only kill people. You know, one of those black plastic ones that can go through metal detectors and shoots 1000 bullets per minute. Why would anyone need one of those in the first place? If it wasn't for George Bush, all guns, including those nasty BB guns would have been banned by now.
If there were no guns, little Fluffy would still be alive. Think about that!

I'm sorry to hear of this. I keep my cat inside. She roams the house freely, and can't get hurt. Talking to the owner might have been a better way to handle this. But sadly, in this day and age, MANY people do not know, or associate with their neighbors. You could have a crazed gun toting ding-a-ling living next to you, and not even know it. The lady should have kept her cat inside, and I hope they throw the book at the neighbor.

Shoot the punk a dozen times so he knows how it feels for the poor cat.

Keep your pets out of other people's yards. Plain and simple. If you can't do that you shouldn't own one. Cats urine can stink to high heck. If I don't own won I don't want that smell anywhere near my property.

I don't know about this neighborhood but in mine the stray cat problem is really bad. Fortunately Jack Frost culls the heard by March, but right now? Jeesh, I'd give the kid $5 for every one he shoots on my property.
He'd make $30 the first day.
Don't some cities have laws that your cat should be penned up or on a leash in your yard? Does Cleveland have that law? If so they need to start enforcing it!
Even with all the rain we've had the past 10 days, you can see the poop and smell the pee everywhere.

Sorry for the lady's loss. I am sure she was upset. However I agree with mapleman and Cleveland-West_S ide. Nothing worse than the neighborhood cats using my flowerbeds and garden as their litter box. I have to bring in fresh dirt and replant more than once a year. We started trapping the cats and taking them out to a field to be fox food...
