Is anyone interested in attending a handgun training class if it was given locally? I am considering contacting the NRA to have an instructor come to the area to teach a class or series of them. If there is even a few people interested, I'll start the process. Just leave a note here so I know the interest is there.

75% of the people in Smyth County could teach a hand gun training class. You don't have to be overly smart just overly cautious when handling the guns. Most of us are carrying guns as I post.

If you are from Wyoming County Wva I would recommend a class. You need to carry to protect yourself from the druggies. Good thing a mental test is not required.

Do u have to take the safety class again to renew a CWP? Of course I guess I have lost my certificate anyway come to think of it. But I'm glad there is some interest. It's time for people to get armed and ready to defend themselves.

I don't like guns. They are too noisy. They do however make less noise than my neihbors loud radio.

I'm interested! Would this enable us to gain a concealed weapons permit?

I don't need a permit. I've carried a pistol for years. II Amendment gives me that right.

Definitely interested as long as we'll receive a concealed permit! Been trying to take the class through the sheriff's dept but they won't give the class until they have enough people

the class will give you the requirement to get your permit. All you will need to do is have the certificate, your DL and fill out your application

One person should be enough. What else do they have to do?

Just show up for the class, no firearm needed. Class takes around 2 hs. Depending on questions ask, etc. there is a test at end but the answers are given. It's mostly to take home it has shooting tips and some of the laws on it and you can keep it for reference if you want to. And the cost is $50.00 per person
