Following the death of my cat, Oscar, and dog, Jack, I couldn't get over the number of readers who sent letters and cards.

the loss of a pet is a heartbreak like no other. When my Lhasa Apso died at 14, I felt my life was over. I couldn't resume my life & didn't want to. I started having ches pains & after being checked by my dr. & nothing was causing the pain, I put 2 & 2 together. I had a loving boyfriend (eventually my husband), financially comfortable, & lots of friends so what was missng in my life? Yep, my Lhasa & I realized the whole in my heart could only be filled (not replaced) by a fur ball so I adopted an abused & neglected Cairn Terrier that was not a substitute but she was exactly what it took so I could resume my life Having her with me for the past 2 years has been a blessing & although I miss the first pet, I don't treat this one as a replacement because she has her own sweet peronality. She came from an abusive situation & so did I. I feel like she saved my life & she did. Thank you, God, for hearing my prayers & healing my broken heart.
