Neighbors support Islamic Center

Neighborliness may have made the difference between the calm that accompanied the building of the Islamic Center of Greater Chattanooga and the furor that arose over a mosque in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Thats my point. Some historians say it wasn't HIS work, but was added later on by christian apologists.
Some may say that; but, the consensus is that the basic paragraph by Josephus was editied.
More evidence to support this is that another writer a few years later said that there was no evidence for Jesus except the Bible.
Who said that? Tretullian pointed his critics to letters from Pilate that were then available for them to look at.
Josephus was well known and if the Jesus excerpts had existed then, he would have cited those.
If he was inclined to do so. But, that wasn't the intent of his work. By being able to refer to Jesus (twice, not once as is commonly claimed) in passing, this shows that he expeceted his immediate readers to know who he was talking about.

Can you tell me how a man writing accounts in 155AD is evidence for a man that supposedly died in 33AD? That would be like me writing an apology on Licoln. Justin Martyr never met Jesus so is just going off the same hearsay and reporting the same rituals that are going on today. What does that prove other than Christians existed?
They would know who were reliable sources were and who couldn't be trusted. Ever hear of the "telephone game"? If you ask Middle Easterners to try it out, you'd be shocked when the ending came you just like the beginning. Secondly, read Bruce Metzger's book on the transmission of the NT. In it he'll tell you about how the pericope of the woman caught in the act of adultery is preserved first in some 3rd century mss in Armenia. It had been handed down orally over the centuries before it was finally written down.

2. This means they are a cult.
3. They are condemned by 2 John 7
4. Do not follow after the God-forsaken murderers of the Son of God and brutal persecutors of His people. The Jews wil certainly pay for their gross unrepentance.
5. The Jews are evidently ANTICHRIST
6. The evidence is quite clear!

Excellent point!

100% false. You really think he is the most prominent figure in world history then why isn't everyone in the world Christian? More prominent than people of the last 100 years we have video documentation of? Get over yourself.
While certain places and people in the bible existed, it means nothing. Places and people in Spiderman exist, doesn't make it true. There is no evidence of a global flood, an exodus from egypt, etc. Its fairy tales.
"Get over yourself” is a rather asinine remark. What am I to get over? Only one who doesn’t mind sounding like a fool would deny that Jesus is the most prominent figure in history. He has remained over the centuries the most well known figure ever to exist. Your failure to believe the truth doesn’t alter a single fact about him. It simply means you show a lack wisdom in deliberately denying what the entire world knows is true.
The reason most aren’t Christian is that they are like you—too blind to recognize the truth that is in front of you and totally devoid of spiritual discernment, resulting in a state of ignorance leading to the loss of one’s soul.

Historians constantly ask themselves questions like who was the greatest general who ever lived? what led to the rise and downfall of a particular empire? and who was the most important thinker in a given era? There are many and varied answers to these particular questions, but when historians ask for the name of the most influential person of all time they give only one reply – Jesus Christ. With over one billion Christians professing to follow him and a role granted to him in several other world religions, Jesus is the most beloved and famous person to have ever walked the earth.

It’s nice to know you are Southern Baptist. Your being the WMU leader of so many churches is impressive. WMU is an excellent and necessary organization that all churches should have in some form.
I’m surprised and disappointed to hear that about Pennsylvania. It certainly has changed since its beginning.
There are too many social club churches today and it seems to be getting worse. Instead of preaching the Gospel, social sermons are preached, leaving a non-Christian visitor with no more than what he came in with, so an opportunity to lead a soul to Christ is lost.

Living a Christian life is such a safety net for living life in peace, knowing what GOD expects of us..I am too abrupt on these forums and I have much work to do to change that..We were living in Alabama when the towers went down and it was up to our pastors and leaders of church to teach us about islam..I had to do a lot of research because in speaking to groups I needed to answer their questions.I already knew some things from reading over the years, about islam.People are acting exactly as 2nd Timothy chapter 3 talks about. My heart goes out to people that are not open to learn about GOD..At the time I was leader of WMU the info of the unsaved, earthwide was 49,000 people who died a month without ever learning who GOD really is.

Doesnt touch the core issue tho -

the core issue is all about accepting the unity of monotheism and why accept it anyway when the man with the pointy hat is in absolute agreement with the Friday mob who in turn are in agreement to the monotheism of the Little Horn. Besides Daniel's prophecy of the King of the SOuth is being ignored

A false safety net based on no evidence. I don't see how you have peace knowing some cosmic dictator is telling you what to do.

I am open to learn about 'god'. I just see no reason to think it to be true.

A message to all you posters on here: I just saw that a poster calling himself Rogue Pig”, also going by the names of “piggy”, probably “Dumb Leroy”, and others has located me so he can do his usual filthy name calling, as he does on the Washington, DC forums. This obscene, perverted creature follows me everywhere I post, making a nuisance of himself and ruining every thread to which I go. He insults not only me but God, who spared his life when he got a liver transplant. He has no gratitude for the fact God let him continue living, wasting his life by becoming more obscene than before. He has begun many vulgar threads for the sole purpose of degrading me on the Washington forums and continues to get by with it in spite of the fact I have reported him many times to the Topix administrators, who have ignored my complaints.(It seems the only way to get Topix to take action is to file a lawsuit, as some have done)

I apologize for ruining this forum by posting on here, and I will leave. To stay would only invite vulgar posts from this person. My thanks to all of you—including those who have disagreed with me-- who have been so kind as to respond to my posts in a courteous and intelligent manner. I will miss all of you and hope you can continue your discussions without interruption from this vicious man.

Wow, did I say anything to you here? Your pal came to my hometown Topix today and slandered me. I simply returned the favor. An eye for an eye.

Let's get something str8. You came to my hometown Topix and spouted bigotry, hate, insane religious beliefs, lies and slandered our president. When you got your tail poetically spanked for a few weeks, what did you do? Brought in a few other religious nut jobs for back up. How'd that go for ya? Oink Oink

"probably “Dumb Leroy”. You know that's not me and to cover your misdirected lie you say "Probably". Typical behavior for you.

Any way, you still have your pals stalking me. Put on your big girl panties and deal with the repercussions. Spread lies about me and what a bad person I am. Keep whining to others and playing yourself as a victim. You're a pathetic joke.

Nothing in the constitution is obsolete. Piggy is a troll and an idiot
Link to post > http://www.topix.com/forum/city/washington-dc...

Then your pal posted this, like you mentioned Loongan. "And Logan is a scholar, great American, and my friend."

Funny how you left out your pals other post, clearly deceptive on your part and par for you claiming the victim roll. Yes, I said to "mtkjim", "So you led Piggy to "The Hive" where you, Logan and a few of Logan's other loony friends hang out. Found it in your post history. Thank you."

Here's the deal, the bottom line and the skinny. Your pal came to my Topix yesterday. Bad mouthed me in one post, then within a minute praised you in another. Then I responded and you jumped in. To me and others on DC Topix you and your pals are clearly stalking me. Like I care, Piggy can defend himself and doesn't whine or lie as you do.

If you really wanted nothing to do with me, NONE of your so called friends or you would come to DC Topix and poke me. I poke back. It's real simple, you and yours leave me alone and I'll do the same. I don't think you will, you can't because you like pretending to be a victim.

Lastly, once again you've tried to brand me a stalker. That so stupid. But if you really feel that way, call the cops, have me charged and arrested. You won't and can't because it's BS. You are so not a christian.
