Man critical in I-4 accident

One person was critically injured Wednesday in a two-car accident on Interstate 4 near Lake Mary Boulevard.

Robert Caruso was involved in a 2 car accident.
The accident was cause by a white car that didn't stop.
"The driver of the second car, Huelan H. Grier, 63, of Longwood, was not injured."
Was Huelan driving a 3rd car?
Or was Huelan driving the second that didn't stop,
but somehow we know Huelan wasn't injured.
Why don't I understand this?

I live in Lake Mary and it took me 1 hour to drive from Coutry Club and Marcum Woods Rd.

The poor folks stuck on I-4 were in much worse shape.

I got off at one of the Lake Mary exits before the scene of the accident, had dinner and traffic was still stopped. It was backed up for hours. Horribly enough, the exit i got off on people were crossing over the grass and underneath the bridge to avoid the traffic. You'd think one horrible accident would impact others not to drive like idiots.

How are old are these idiots that type up insults to one another in the 'Comments' section about a story of a guy who was critically injured by an erratic driver who didn't bother to stop after causing an accident? Of course, it was all started by another fine New Yorker who now, unfortunately for us Floridians, lives here and most likely claims that it's too hot here in Florida (it's actually the humidity that gets to you) and that he can't find a good pizza.

Back to the story, I was on my home to Lake Mary and was one of the first people on the scene (I actually saw the crash). I called 911 and did my best to help Mr. Caruso before a nurse showed up. He was in bad shape. As more people showed up, a few complained about a jerk of driver who was cutting people off left and right. I hope they use the traffic cameras to find that jerk!

Why didn't someone try to identify the car at fault ? There must have been allot of people who witnessed this wreck ! We have got to stop these idiots who drive like they are the only ones on the road. The people who feel they are in a bigger rush than everyone else and deserve to get there ahead of everyone else. We need to start giving people who come to this country a driving test as well as some of our own inconsiderate jerks. Every day it's the same thing , accident after accident. Impatience and inconsideration are rampant these days. Ever sit at a light and notice how many people don't use turn signals or just run the light ? It's no wonder so many people are killed every year ..

Red light camera's are needed at ever traffic light.
No points. No face photo's.
Need to keep the ACLU and other civil rights groups out of this. Some will complain, "but I wasn't driving the car that day. I loaned it to someone."
Fine. If you loan out a car or provide one for business, instruct the driver of said vehicle that red light tickets will be passed to you from me.
The vehicles owner. Can't do that or don't want to do that. Then don't let anybody use your vehicle.

I saw the wreck from the opposite side and it was horrific, the scene is still replaying in my head. There are some good comments here and my hats off to Tim for his heroism. I hope they catch the guy too. One thing I have learned from seeing the wreck and reading these posts is that you can only take care of yourself by trying to avoid people like that driver and Bill, but sometimes it is not that easy.

What does that have to do with the story? There are no red lights on I-4...they didn't contribute to the accident. Wow.

some of you people need to realize that this could have happened to someone you know. I was stuck in this traffic last night only to learn this morning that my friend and co-worker MR. BOB CARUSO was killed in that accident. He will be sorely missed by all his co-workers at Crystal Water Co.

Wow, that is sad. I find it hard to believe someone did not write down the plate number of the white car.

I have found it much too common that those who drive aggressively through traffic either have their tag obscured with a dark plastic ocver or simply don't display any tag at all.
