There are two (2) basic factors contributing to our economic mess.

The war in the Middle East. We are billions of dollars in debt in the United States (while the budget of Iraq is operating at a surplus). Not fair...

The tremendous amount of creidt card debt. If we give the people money instead of the banks, the people will pay off the banks. The banks will get their money and the people will have freedom from credit card debt. As it now stands, the banks get the bailout money directly from the government and the people remain in debt while "bonus" checks are handed out to bank executives.

So, President Obama hires "geniuses and experts" to get us out of this economic mess. Since when is economics an exact science!

once again I need to ask what sort of disaster would entail evacuating more than 50,000 people from LI? If it's a bigger evac. than that, then we would have bigger problems than evacuation.
Face it any and all roads will be jammed.
Tunnel/Bridge will just bring in more traffic to an already overcrowded LI.

On July 22nds article "raids called unlawful", they are talking about rights. Hate to tell you all but if your here illegally you have not rights. You have rights as a human being but that does not equal that its ok to be here illegal. Being and illegal immagrant is just that ILLEGAL, and that in itself is a crime. Stop trying to punish our police for doing there jobs and start supporting them. If your here illegally watch out or come here legally and you won't have to worry so much.
